Yup, FEH was my first FE game but when I played FE Fates I was baffled by the lack of consistensy between the two games. Xander is a total beast in Fates but in FEH, he's ridiculously weak. Same thing with Nina and Niles.

Yeah Xander is so funny because he's like this awful gen 1 unit and most of his alts until his Leg were awful too. Then in Fates he can handle like half the maps once you get him and is a reliable carry.

I would like to give a mention to Seteth mainly because of his skill activation quotes, direction really told the VA to tone down to sound as bored as he could wich wouldn't be a problem but the SAME quotes delivered by the SAME VA in Three Houses sounded so badass and ferocious, its one of the biggest downgrades in voice direction. Also heads up to Frederick for losing "Pick a god and pray".

I’ve noticed that’s usually the case with the special activation quotes in Heroes. Whenever they’re the same as a line in the original game, 8 or 9/10 of them seem to carry much more emotion in the original game. No clue why it is, and the delivery can SOMETIMES make the quotes sound cooler, but they mostly end up worse, ESPECIALLY in the case of Seteth's awesome delivery in 3 Houses.

I'd also add that Beruka has been shafted by FEH for its entire lifespan. She released as a worse Camilla, has gotten no alts or a resplendent, not even as a backpack. And then the one Ninja banner with Fates characters that fit her whole aesthetic comes out and who shows up but fuckmothering Camilla again, because who needs character variety when you have money-making tits.

To be fair about the Ninja alts, most units on that banner already weren't very popular and didn't have alts yet. However remember that IS's goal is to make profits. It's unfortunate for Beruka, but between Cherche and Heath not being very popular, and Laegjarn/Fjorm being popular but not enough to fully carry a banner on their own, I think it was an appropriate time to bring Camilla back after 3 years of nothing. Hopefully Beruka will be getting something soon!

The 1st two units who got done dirty in heroes who came to mind for me are Sumia and Charlotte. Sumia only has her base version and is constantly in the shadow of Cordelia. Charlotte only has one decent bridal alt and when her base version finally arrived in 2021 scion Larcei appeared and power creapt her.

Im gonna say it, Alfonse has gotta be the one character they continue to misrepresent or half bake. He's so cool, started off really bland and uninteresting but Books 3 and 6 really showed how this mf isn't messing around (I know people go wild over him telling the literal incarnation of death to fuck off but this man saw Letizia talking shit and went "I killed my dad, and i'll kill you too so stfu" and actually got away with it lmao) It's a shame his base version sucks, he got a sucky refine even for the standards at the time, his alts suck, except for maybe the New Year's one. He should be getting so much more, yet IntSys continues to fail the literal main character of the game. Also Adult Tiki being ignored so often is most likely because IntSys can't afford to hire the voice of Pikachu and Tony Tony Chopper all the time lmao, with the constant love for Young Tiki being because it's the one SD character outside of Marth they can constantly and effectively market banners with. Alfonse at least had the benefit of character development and at least two decent alts that can do well in the current meta. His sister Sharena has not had a single alt since 2018, gets almost nothing to do for the rest of the books and is little more than a cheerleader. A character like Fjorm getting more love than her only adds insult to injury.

100% agree with all of those. Other notable examples are: - Cynthia, who's voice actress isn't even credited in Heroes (probably because it's pretty bad compared to Awakening). Same as Mae, all the infectious energy is completely absent in her Heroes version. - Boyd, after finally getting his chance to be in the game it's one of those little kids variants... - Rinkah, it's mostly her art. I hate it. So much. Unlike Rebecca who's art just looks bad, Rinkah got massive boost in her upper parts for absolutely no reason other than "marketability". I don't like summer Tiki for the same reason. Then again silver lining to all of these is that at the very least they were considered. Vaike, Laurent, Chulainn, Fee, Patty, Roger, Etzel, Lorenz(Archanea one), Scarlet, Reina, Izana, Brom, Kieran or Stefan aren't even in the game. We have 10 versions of Tiki, while those poor sods still wait for their chance to have one.

But now that I double checked, she isn't credited as Idunn or spring Idunn either (where performance is all right). Though strangely enough she gets the credit for ascended Idunn (who admittedly is the best of the 4). So if that's the case something changed between 2019 and 2022 that I'm unaware of. Edit: after diving even deeper, the only other characters I found that have uncredited voice actors are: Surtr - base(2018) and pirate(2021), credited for resplendant(2023). Dorcas - base(2017), credited for haloween(2018). Same voice actor as Surtr. Palla and Lucina - base(2017), different voice actress afterwards who got credited. Lyn - only brave Lyn(2017) is uncredited, every version before and after is, which is most unusal. Sumia and Nah - released in 2018 and 2019 same voice actress as Kana(2018 before Sumia), Genny base (2017) and picnic (2019 before Nah). Silas - released in 2018 Interestingly Deathknight and Flame Emperor have "???" instead of voice actor's name, though that's likely intentional to not reveal their true identities (which for the latter was effective for about a month when Edelgard got legendary alt literally called "Flame Emperor" so good job on that one). So if the reason is because of the union i have no clue what the deal is, as there isn't any pattern I've noticed.

Even though Leo got done dirty in Feh, that never stopped me from investing a lot into him, and with the current powercreep, units like Leo (or the other units in this video) can with the enough investment & premium skills, become fairly decent! I've even managed to solo a bunch of the Legendary Hero/ Mythic Hero maps with my max invested original Leo. Of course I could always just invest into a more modern red cav with a better statline like Legendary Veronica or Arete, but that would take away the challenge and fun out of this game.

When it comes to echoes characters (Matilda, Mae, Mila, etc.) I often don’t like the art (or more so just need time to adjust to it) because the art of Shadows of Valentia is gorgeous and seeing them not in that art style is a little off putting so some I’ve gotten use to and some I just don’t like.

Galzus getting presented the way he was in Heroes is so disappointing as a Jugdral fan. In Thracia he’s an absolute juggernaut of a unit who’ll unleash a world of hurt on anyone he comes into range of, and he’s genuinely fascinating as a character with his backstory. Heroes proceeded to put him in an oversaturated archetype and make him unremarkable without a PRF to his name which disappointed me immensely. Art’s still cool though! Also agree on Mae, she was one of my favorites in SoV and the fact that she and Boey don’t have an alt after all these years saddens me.

I have both Haars at +10 and heavy investment given to them. I love my sleepy dragon man so much. I also had base Titania as part of my core for a long time because she ciuld eventually use all the tactics skills and buff all stats +6, so she was a great buff bot. Ok great video I love all the options BUT for the three houses option I feel like sylvain got screwed over WAY more then Kronya cause at least Kronya got a prf that years later when refined became VERY strong but sylvain came out originally in the seasonal hell with no special weapon just an inheritable weapon that all that was super mid and 3 years later when he came to the game he came out with no inheritable weapon (which he does wield the lance of ruin weapon in three houses) and all the skills he had were skills that were already in the game so i remember it annoying many sylvain fans when he got done so dirty in game and a character who ranks pretty high in cyl (Though I won’t deny sylvain and summer sylvain art is so good I just love argon art)

Brave - outshone by his father Legendary - Worse than Marth, worse than Alm. two legendary heroes that were released alongside him. Refine- Marth's was better. Remix - What the actual f. Conditional maximum 35% DR that needs allies with out of combat buffs so its easily countered by panic smoke/tower/sabotage. not to mention it needs the allies to be within 2 spaces.. then a month later we get Yune with the DR check that might as well be not a DR check. Duo - Was good for a while, but then Duo Thor was released the next month possessing a duo button that undid HIS duo button.. even worse, Thorr can press her duo button again.. not other Duo hero has been done SO dirty, SO disgustingly as Duo Roy..

Maybe she doesn't have it as bad as the characters on your list but I sometimes think Tailtiu got done dirty, mostly because IntSys keeps forgetting that there are other Friege characters besides Ishtar and Reinhardt and I doubt she'll ever get anything besides the Resplendent (Mae and Tailtiu Duo when, they're basically the same character when you think about it long enough). Her son wasn't so lucky either, they could have easily made him a Mage Cav, since they already refused to make Azelle one but nah, PRF-less 5* it is 🤪

the jagens always get done dirty and its just so sad. Jagen? Slow res tank with low attack. Eyvel? Had a bad debut with a generic sword. Marcus? Isnt even in the game yet. Seth? Literally just slightly better Stahl. Titania? Same with Jagen, high res but low everything else. Frederick? Yeah he hits hard and tanks phys decently but he can't double. Jakob? Book 1 Dagger unit. Sylvain. In Three Houses, he's one of the best units in the game, right up there next to the Lords and Byleths. In Heroes, the statline he came with for both versions never had any relevance in the meta. To summarize: strength in-game + character popularity ≠ good in FEH Raise your hand if you think someone on the IS dev team hates Sylvain and Adult Tiki!

I'd say IS seems to hate Marianne and Eir, who on an unrelated note, have the same voice actress Xanthe Huynh. For Marianne the only thing IS has given her is her regular alt. Her Brave, which the fans gave her. Then, she was shafted by making her the secondary in a Summer Duo. Eir gets her regular alt and then gets a crummy New Year Tempest Trial alt. She did get a Ascendant, but that's only because all the Book Girls are going to get Ascendants. Finally, Eir is made the secondary in a Summer Duo just like Marianne was.

I got a few things to say: 1.) My favorite memory of Lachesis in Heroes was back when she was still a 5 star locked unit. My friend was summoning for someone, can't remember who it was, but it was someone he really wanted. He was getting kinda anxious, and on his last summon, he got Lachesis. He immediately threw his phone on the table and walked away. 2.) Said friend is still to this day depressed that Jaffar is terrible, since Jaffar is one of his favorite characters. Part of him wants to build Jaffar because, again, he loves him, but another part keeps him from doing it because he knows it will be a massive waste. 3.) I was actually saving every orb I got for Brave Adult Tiki and amassed quite a pile, but once I saw they just put her in Young Tiki's clothes, all my enthusiasm and motivation to summon for her died. a character im frustrated about in heroes is knoll. hes the only one in the main campaign that can wield gleipnir, and he had it stolen from him by eirika years before he even got added. not to mention rauthorfox being a worse version of eirikas gleipnir. His art and va are good, his stats are...alright... but the fact he didnt come in with gleipnir/a gleipnir variant is really aggravating (especially since him and natasha got me to play fe8. i thought they were cool, so i wanted to see where they were from.) I know hes a demote, and that we cant ask much of red tome infantry units who sre demotes (bc almost all of them suck massively and are almost unsalvageable). but its still really disappointing. i hope he gets a nice refine that blows arcane eclipse out of the water, but itll be many many years until that happens, if at all. theres also brave eirika whos in the same boat as brave tiki. shes JUST ephraim. quite literally just ephraims duo alt but on a horse and without the duo skill. we voted for EIRIKA, not ephraim. why did you just give us brave ephraim 2. it pisses me off just as much as brave tiki and nobody seems to talk about it at all. 1 more gripe is how long we waited for anankos. hes a good unit, hes cracked as hell. but the fact we waited from launch of feh until This Year, and he wasnt even a mythic. Extremely upsetting. i really really like fates so the fact that . yknow. the main antagonist of the game. just got put on a random fell banner. and after years and years of waiting. It sucks.

Seth, Titania and Mathilda: super strong badasses in their own game. In FEH, however: + Seth is a 3-4 star unit with a Ruby sword. + Titania is also a 3-4 star unit with an Emerald Axe. + Mathilda is completely forgettable. Adult Tiki is definitely the most disrespected hero by far. The CYL fuckery where everyone voted for her because we got sick of Young Tiki, just to get her wearing her old clothes was such a spit in the face, and then immediately power creep her with a ascended young version was a kick to the balls, and even gets her special niche stolen from other units later on, making her obsolete. And then you get Bridal Tiki, but of course the young Tiki is right there with her, always haunting you, making sure you never forget that I.S. HATES Adult Tiki.

My greatest disappointment in FEH has got to be Emmeryn. We waited years for them to add her, but she just got slid in as a low star unit without any kind of banner, story feature, event, or anything -- and as a unit she so, so incredibly worthless. Her art's terrible, as a unit she's unplayable, and -- for me, the most frustrating -- they blatantly ignore her any time any of the other relevant Awakening characters get featured in events. I thought for sure she'd finally get to interact with someone from Awakening when Phila was added to the game, but -- nope. She got brought back from the dead, and has apparently never encountered her siblings or retainers or gotten to react to this at all. The biggest appeal of FEH was supposed to be all these characters getting this sort of what-if alternate life to live out, and they mostly just squander it.

At least the case with Adult Tiki kinda makes sense, the part of Tiki making references to her younger self is because her whole existence is thanks to the fact Young Tiki herself is so iconic, and outside of the crossovers that happened in the Awakening era (and Smash Ultimate for some reason), she is the Tiki that is always promoted, because she is an very popular icon of the franchise. And in the Alt difference Young Tiki is benefiting of the fact that unlike Adult Tiki, where her cast is overall very popular... the cast of Archanea, despite having so many iconic characters, has surprisingly few characters that are actually popular? This makes very easy for Y!Tiki to take spaces each time Archanea gets stuff in Heroes. Still is a bit wild that such big difference in Alts happened... I hope A!Tiki gets more stuff in the future, personally I see a lot of potential of she getting a Legendary Alt whenever IS wants to represent the Awakening's legendary dragon, which is something they have done with the other titles that feature divine dragons.
