I always liked her years ago in the show. I remember her being highly popular around the early 2000s . When she returned years later the character was pretty hardened and more bitter. A lot of the younger audience didn't see why she turned that way, but hopefully when she arrives in classic EastEnders they can see why she turned out pretty bitter. The character development was pretty good actually as it reflects real life where someone can start out happy go lucky then due to certain events like Steve Owen and Dan Sullivan they end up pretty bitter and dislike life.
