The number one thing that helped me improve significantly in apex was holding myself accountable. If you don’t think of your teammates as an equation and look at it from a “me vs the world” perspective, you will start to notice and improve your every flaw. When you DO have teammates, follow and assist them, but play for YOURSELF and you’ll find you’ll be helping the whole squad much more that way.

I usually go no-fill just to warmup and then move to ranked. No-fill is great to get you in a great mindset: you HAVE to have good movement, read players, good aim and overall always have a backup plan.

I tried playing with randoms yesterday in trios and I was with a max level wraith and before we even dropped they left simply because we didn't have a third teammate. The main problem I have with it is that he was both max level and he didn't even try to play the game. Maybe he was just practicing how fast he can leave the game to be a better wraith main.

I know it sounds like a load of horseshit but my KD went from 2.2 to 4.65 in season 10 because I was committed to taking as many fights as possible. The reason I care is because I want to have fun, Winning is fun but you have to improve to win thus why improving is fun. Not trying to be condescending and I sincerely apologize if that’s how it comes across but let’s look at it from an analytic perspective. Let’s say we’re the average Apex player you hop on after work and you play four hours. Realistically you are not shooting people for four hours you’re taking a break using the washroom you’re queued in the lobby for a match, in a game we are looting ETC, right so if you really look at how much time you’re spending in gun fights it’s really nothing. It’s hard AF to improve if u don’t CONSTANTLY take gun fights. That’s why a lot of players struggle with BR opposed to a team death match game mode because in TDM you are constantly pushing and getting in however many engagements but in a br it’s really optional if and when you get in those engagements to some degree. @@kindajacked5154 oh i know, and i drop fracture, specifically those 2 buildings 90% of my drops, but also 90% of my wins, high kill games and 2k+ damage are all from medium hots. Theyre just more fun. They get the gg endings with fun teammates. I dont have to become amazing quick. I only been playing for a 1.5 month and about 700kills on loba, but its just frustrating where almost all fracture drops end in 1st teammate immediately leaving on down, 2nd teammate running away, and me trying to have 3 fights back to back without having time to heal.

The lag delay sometimes makes me want to swear, I've been shredding enemy Loba with Scheila, did 189 damage and then our Wraith hits them with 1 Hemlock bullet and gets the kill. And other day I got a kill by literally doing 1(!) damage, lol.

With teammates that are competent and helpful, I would never get bored. Instead though, I tend to do the giving with mundane results most of the time. A solo no-fill when things don't go well? I... Think I need a survival guide. It's intimidating. But I'll have to try sometime.

It's better than you think, but it requires a different playstyle. Movement legends help a lot, since you can't afford getting knocked and have to bail whenever threatened. Rotations matter too and sometimes you can sit still or sneak behind where full squad never could.

Fun fact: you don’t have to switch to heavy on the CAR to craft heavy ammo. The game is bugged and it only lets you craft heavy ammo with that gun, even if light ammo is selected.

It's not bugged, CAR is a heavy ammo weapon that lets you use light ammo. It just count it as default, simmiliar how care package weapons identify as light ammo type for replicator.
