Not to mention this story spans over a decade and not all of this information was released in a single game. There wasn’t even a proper Easter egg until ascension in black ops 1 and that Easter egg was pretty much contained to that map until future games. Nothing about zombies felt convoluted as I played it for the past decade it felt like a mystery that was slowly being unveiled.

Gotta be honest, I don’t think I took away too much from this vid. I appreciate the hard work im sure went into it, and given the crazy in depth nature of the lore which I had no idea went so deep, it’s a laborious task. But the pace was a bit quick, and I almost found the dates irrelevant. It was hard to listen to 2 hours of reading off dates followed by quick bits of info and try to remember it all for those 2 hours. I also feel the connections between the campaign and zombie lore weren’t very well explained. Overall just kind of confusing, but the end brought it together a little bit

When in the Dark Aether inDie Maschine, there's an easter egg with a giant walking creature thats made of tree roots and is described in an intel you can get as an "elder god". The Apathocans where referred to as "elder gods" in the past. This says that the Apothocans were resurrected as a new type of creature and are present in Cold War zombies and have a really good chance of being a major factor in future DLCs.
