Just in time. Thank you. Is the silk like a straw so the pollen needs to get to the opening to the straw or does it stick and "enter" the side of the "straw"?
@THEFIRSTTIMEGARDENER-mp9vv9 ай бұрын
The pollen can go on any of the silks anywhere on the silks. Doesnt matter if its towards the top or close to the bottom. As long as it touches each silk stran somewhere. Happy Gardening

@@TheGardenNerd thank you, keep cool and hydrated too. I’ve been moving wood chip mulch to the yard since Sunday from 05:00-10:00 to avoid the heat. Hoping to finish the second load tomorrow morning.

@@danielfisch655 well the good news is that the mulch will help cool down your yard. Don't work too hard!

Do you have a recommendation for soil and fertilizer? Getting ready to plant a vegetable garden this fall.
@TheGardenNerd3 жыл бұрын
Yes, if you look back a few videos you'll see a video I made of me planting my fall garden. I talk about using soil from Worm Farm of Arizona. It's by far the best I've found. If you don't go there then you can look for "Happy Frog" products that most nurseries around town sell. Don't go cheap on the soil!

I will be growing corn in my green house. Would it work to have on fan blowing on the corn when it is time to pollinate?

Beans marigold and squash! All in the same space. How big is that space.
@TheGardenNerd3 жыл бұрын
Small space! In the desert it's very superficial to plant closely together. Helps hold in moisture and the plants can shade and protect each other.

@@TheGardenNerd canapairadoilia my brain must want them to be.. but at a glance whatever those bushes are really kinda do look like it. And at least I now know why I have not had a good corn crop won’t happen this year🍺
@zensoulfire Жыл бұрын
I wondered about that too, beautiful bushes. Could be Japanese maple or just plain old hemp.

If flowers sharing genetic material actually makes people uncomfortable in a world where satanic crap is on TV and in the streets daily; those people are going to have a rough time in this life.
