Hiya Gemma, pleased you took my advice😊😊😊 Now you need to go to rural charity shops... that's where you will find the good stuff...💋💋💋💋

That retro shop next to cash generator...Brought my twin sons boxed Mario allstars SNES from there for his xmas pressie about 3 years ago, cost £150 but was like brand new, hes sold it now the little bugger. Also little known fact, the owner of the shop, Anton...He used to be good friend of mine back in the early 00's in my raving days, we often hung out at progress and other such places.
Love the thrill of the hunt! It gets my heart racing every time! Great footage!

Recently went Derby myself and visited most of these places. I also just picked up that Painkiller game (L.E) complete from a GAME store for £4:99 in the current buy 2 get one free deal, so definitely look around! 👍🏻

If I someday visit in Great Britain, I need to visit Derby there is so much cheap stuff. I would easily spend like 200£ at there in a day. =) But there is now a new fleamarket store in my city, and they had a lots of videogames, movies, books, clothes and even guns for sale, I am not joking they had these old pistols from 1800´s for sale.

Hi Gemma i really like your videos and your collection is Fantastic.This year i was in financial difficulties i sold all my ps1 super nintendo games and the original nintendo console and games also mega drive. After a few weeks it all came back to me, what have i done, now i regret it, so i am trying to get it all back. i am struggling to find the Nintendo Entertainment System but its expensive on ebay. i am never ever gonna do that again. I am going to Cash Converters later on see what i can find. that's a good place to go i recommend it. Thankyou Gemma!

I often wonder if disc based games will be as collectable on a whole compared to cartridge based games in the future

The Top Loader That's a very good question. I think they'll be just as valuable

Charity shops are a very different animal in the UK. I used to like hunting for CDs and vinyl and occasionally Amiga software. Apparently whenever they get a haul in, they call any one of a number of local dealers who come along and take it all before it even hits the shelves. It's a shame really as charity shops aren't worth scouting in anymore. Almost all the vinyl goes to local dealers and marked up at a premium. I'd imagine the same with retro games.

In the retro games store everything seemed to be about 25% more than I would be willing to pay. They do have a lot of inventory though!

would have bought that big box SSI title without thinking about it. £20 - £30 game I think.

Painkiller is very similar to Serious Sam in gameplay. Very fast, very frantic. Not worth that price (unless it was new or had all the extras in that ultimate edition), but one to keep an eye on.

I live in the suburbs of London. No bootsales, no retro game stores, no garage sales, nothing . There are charity shops but there is nothing ever in there worth buying and it being embarrassing for a 16 year old to go in there. I wish I lived in a place with retro game stores like that but alas not until I leave university in many years... have you any tips like looking online for games and consoles? ( particularly handheld)
@tdubs217 жыл бұрын
Hey Gemma, do you have any recommendations for stores or areas around London? I live in Australia and im going to London for 3 weeks for work and wouldnt mind checking out some stores during the weekends. Thanks!
@TheGebs247 жыл бұрын
Tim wah London is pretty dry for retro game stores tbh. What area of London are you going to?

If only we had the shops like america has, I personally cant stand charity shops and its just not the same. I feel like we have nothing here in Lincoln, we have a retro store but their prices are ridiculous...

50 to 70 pounds is expensive for retro games that's triple times Singapore dollars while you can get the same amount for 4 games
