I’ve had tein street basis coilovers for 3 years now. Going from 220whp all motor to 450whp turbo, and they are absolutely amazing. The car holds traction at 450whp, I know they’re doing their job. And they ride just alittle stiffer than stock.

I went with BC coilovers with custom spring rates. Love them. I'm lowered 1" front and half inch in the rear. Not sure what other mods you have. But get a Progress 24mm rear sway bar and it's easy to swap the front calipers, rotors and pads for larger TSX parts.

Those coils will never fell all that good sadly, BUT, I am glad to see my man Gerb doing these reviews. Not everyone can afford good suspension, so some people are forced to go with the Chinese/Taiwan stuff.. And its like a 50/50 gamble.. Whereas when you start going up the Chain with BC/D2, then go next level like KW/Fortune Auto/AMR, you really do get what you pay for in terms of product but also customer service and response. Like even going from BC to Fortune Auto for me was just NIGHT AND DAY!.. Pretty sure the lower rungs of BC coils are made in Taiwan as well sadly. I was tricked as I thought all BC's were JDM made.

@@JonHop1 which susp would you recommend?
@McDzy3 жыл бұрын
for 8th gen civic SI
@JonHop13 жыл бұрын
@@McDzy Depends on budget and what you are using them for man.. If you care about performance and a quality shock and spring, you are going to have to spend over $1K.. Suspension is an investment. A worthwhile one.. In the 800-1100 range BC's and Tien's are good options. Decent, relatively quality parts. Some of the higher end Taiwan-made Coils. They are good for a drop and okay performance.. After this, the next level up you really start to get into really good quality shocks/struts that are well made with good warranties and good customer service. A few I would highly recommend are Fortune Auto, AMR, Feal, and KW. KW is on the stiffer side tho.. AMR/Feal/FA are all totally customizable and are custom made in the US to your specification and ride needs. I recommend Fortune Auto, but Feal and AMR are fantastic as well. Top of the line street/race coilovers. You wont get better in that area.. And Im assuming you arent looking for 2k-5k suspension systems for track only use, but if you are, I can recommend some great circuit suspension systems for the 8th gen. Getting a custom Bilstein setup would be what I would choose personally.
