The weather is just crazy isn't it at the moment! Great video mate, I know that last steep bit you did, you did great on that section 👍🏻 Loved this route when we did! At least Jon's brakes gave up at about the right time 🙈
@HallMarc_Trails7 ай бұрын
Thanks mate, I forgot how good it actually was, love the last steep section, much better with brakes to rely on when needed 🤣 the section before that steep bit, we didn’t do last time, that was steeper 😱🤣 great fun though 😀👍🏻

Looks like it would be slick on all the wet rocks. Fun looking ride, though! Good views along the way. That is an epic beard that he has.

Thanks mate, i always enjoy this route, better when dry though haha, Jon certainly has a fair beard, he's entered a beard competition apparently 🤣👍

That bit of singletrack where you met the walkers is awesome, best bit of cutgate for me! It's bloody June ffs, what's with the weather???!!!
@HallMarc_Trails7 ай бұрын
Yeah, it’s a fantastic bit of singletrack, i would normally agree but cut gate with the cheeky steep Rocky section that we didn’t do last time really added to that descent, possibly because it’s new to me, either way, both are my favourite descents on that route, if not in the peaks, weather is ridiculous for June 😩

Yes really enjoyed the video Marc, you were flying towards North America decent and cleaned the last decent into ladybower always a bit steep and tricky. One of the best Peak District rides imo! Battling the weather also well done it’s pretty exposed over the top section no cover whatsoever! No mention of the wrist either? Must be sorted!
@HallMarc_Trails7 ай бұрын
Yes, i really enjoyed this one, i can definitely feel my confidence returning, the wrist is a lot better, it doesn’t hurt too much when riding, still wearing a support ( just whilst riding) as it’s still a bit weak not thinking about it helps a lot, i loved that last steep section into the last part of the trail, such a buzz after that, hopefully get out with you again soon Paul, we’re due one 👍🏻

Great video mate, looks like a proper good trail, especially that last naughty bit. You wouldn't think it was June though 😂

I think you would really enjoy this one, there’s a couple of awesome descents, better in the dry though 🤣 thanks mate 👍🏻

Akways rewarding is Cut gate. Amazing descent is Mickledon edge then the final one to Cranberry Clough is possibly even better. Great video....but we need a refund in summer 24. Shocking conditions 😬
@HallMarc_Trails7 ай бұрын
Oh yes, a route that’s blessed with a couple of the finest, you certainly know you’ve been on a ride, better without the horrid weather, if I can remember that far back 🤣 thanks mate 👍🏻

Only done Cut Gate once. Had a puncture coming down Lockerbrook and had a tube in for the whole of Cut Gate. Had to tiptoe down all of the descents but it was a properly mint ride 👍

It’s a cracking trail, my nemesis is potato alley, always get a puncture down there 😩🤣

I was trying to work out how Johnathan had managed to grow his beard so long, so fast. Then I realised it wasn't @MTB_Derbyshire 🤣

🤣 it gets quite confusing when they’re both out, not because they look anything alike but because they have the same name 🤣 I usually call Gandalf Jon when that happens 🤣👍🏻
