The Glitch Mob is the fucking bomb. Didn't know their live shows had so much effort put into them. I feel the flow of passion. I surely NEED to go to one in the near future. The most likely won't come to Calgary though :( Might just have to spend a few hundies and fly down.

Hansol Saw them in silver springs last year and this thing was crazy. The bass made wind in the section I was in. You should definitely try to get to a concert soon because the new music and this combined is amazing. Also another great plus is their concerts are not as expensive as some other bands/ artists are so you should go to a concert soon.

I saw them at North Coast in Chicago a couple years ago. I had seen them 2.5 times live (half time for a DJ set without the Blade) before that. The moment I knew this was really special for live performance electronic music was when I heard them mess up live. It was subtle, lasted a split second, and didn't impact my enjoyment of the show at all. Most people who would be more casual fans (one's who haven't seen them live as many times) likely didn't notice, but the guys on stage did. They quickly glanced at eachother, got back on timing, and continued without a hitch. But this subtle event told me this is a true live performance of electronic music. It has a fallible, human element to it which is what live music is suppose to be about. It something I haven't seen/heard before or since. You can say a lot of electronic concerts are "just press play", you cannot even to begin to argue that is the case with The Glitch Mob.

What I think is really interesting about The Glitch Mob is that their music sorta creates a genre of its own. It's not really dubstep because it has a unique flow to it and a lot of emotion built within as well but obviously it's not orchestrated as well, yet it still has that movement and whole feel that an actual orchestra would have. It's like an amazing combination of the two and the way that it all works so well in the end is just mind blowing to me. And yes, you guys have been a major inspiration to me and my own music which I've created using Audiosauna. Thank you 😊

Nice work of design and engineering, great setup!!! Just sounded strange to me: At 12:43 Bongos??? A common error to call any drum a bongo, just call 'em drums. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bongo_drum . And at 13:10 when the drums kick in (not the sequenced ones) the delay between the strike and the sound is unbearable, totally out of sync. It looks like you have no idea of playing a drum in time, and I'm sure that is NOT the case. A show to see when you arrive in Spain.

Cool music, cool dudes, cool set design etc. but a bit over-hyped as something "new" as even in Finland, there have been live electronic acts since the 80s, with actual synths, playing live. No Ableton, no Macs, no massive signal aggregator etc. Not to mention international acts like Chicane, Giuseppe Ottaviani (Nu Nrg/PureNRG), Skrillex, BT, Shpongle, just to name a few, who do a similar stage show with live elements (or fully live). Not saying this isn't awesome, but why hype it so much? I get that it is unique, in a way, as it can't be anything but.

***** You might be giving them a bit too much credit.

The reason we don't see more live EDM is because it usually sounds stupid as hell. Just because you throw a bunch of money at a unique live instrument(s) doesn't mean you invented anything.
@justinmai1749 жыл бұрын
Missy jonsey lol there is so much live EDM, it's insane. You can;t expect 3 people to play over 20 different instruments at the same time. You pretty much can play two or three instruments per person, but there will always be parts that are triggered. It's easy with acoustic instruments because there are a set number of instruments for each member to play, but in electronic music there is, maybe, 20 more sounds and instruments in every song than just drums, guitar, bass, and piano. And, they didn't claim to invent anything. They're actually pretty obviously humble about their performance and their music, if you even watched the documentary all the way through. No one is forcing you to like electronic music. If you don;t enjoy it, don;t watch these kinds of videos and make comments that don;t add anything to the discussion
