i love using dried mint in the white sauce. It compliments the cool temp of the dressing, but also works nice with the vinegar (i use apple cider) to give a fresh bright flavor. It cuts the fattiness of the mayo nicely.

NO LIE I'm so thankful for your video. My Kids are THE PICKIEST EATERS in the World, and I stumbled across your video searching for how to make halal cart food like I lived off during my college days growing up in NY. Found yours and was thankful I had all the ingredients already home and the first day literally Monday. I cut it up with lettuce tomato carrots cucumbers and spinach, I only made the white sauce as none of us are big spicey fans but my kids loved every bit of it to the point we literally ate halal chicken and rice the entire week. I attempted to switch it up and buy pita bread and allow them to make gyros and they got upset and told me they rather have the chicken and rice I made from Monday and Tuesday. It not only is healthy but it got my kids to eat waayyyy more fresh veggies without fight.

I’m couple months late to this party- I just made this dish and HOLY EXTRA GUACAMOLEY this recipe is delicious!!! You my friend did not disappoint! I didn’t go into this with super high expectations (sorry) but the way the flavors came together DELIVERED- the dish is tangy, spicy, creamy, YUMMY. Ugh! So good! The second best part is how easy it was to make, I thought it’d be time consuming with the two sauces and all but this dish came together easy. I’m officially a fan. 😍

@@Wog85 Turkey and chicken is completely okay. You're probably thinking of birds with talons, which are claws that are hooked. For example, eagles are not halal to eat. Sheep, goat, cow, deer, camel etc. is okay. What's not halal to eat are carnivores, pork, and carrion. Any animals that die in fear (for example, watching other animals die in front of them etc.) Even the act of sharpening your knife in front of the animal stresses the animal out and this is haram. Domesticated animals like cats and dogs are haram to eat. I'm sure you get the idea! I hope this helps :)

don't eat rice, bread, pasta, stick to nuts, vegetables and low gi fruits...most food in the world like Mexican will make you into a fat cow. tacos, rice bowls, pizza, all blow you up.

count your calories and slowly reduce until you lose around 1 lb per week..the slower the better. less stretch marks if you are very overweight and less muscle loss if you are a guy. either way it's not rocket science, calories in vs calories out

The BEST Hallal food in NYC is the original 5star cart which has made it to several TV shows for its excellence and great tasting dishes “Hallal Guys” on 53rd Street & 6th Ave (aka Avenida de las Americas) in midtown Manhattan NYC. If you have Never ate from that spot then youve never had OFFICIAL Hallal Food, the lines go around the block 24/7. I usually get the Mix/Combo plater of lamb and chicken over rice with EXTRA white sauce (Pause). NO hot sauce cause that red sauce is the hottest sauce youll ever taste. They warn you about the heat level before pouring even if you ask for it💯 Fun Fact: Fellow Muslim Cab Drivers can skip the line to get there food💯. Great video/ im trying this tonight my guy🎤💯

Halal Guys is nowhere near the best cart; haven't been for a while. They don't even squirt the sauce on the platter anymore, just give you packets, which you have to pay for extra now. If you want excellent chicken over rice, I'd say head over to Queens: Sammy's, King of Falafel and Shawarma, Mahmoud, Sikder's, Shah's, the list goes on. Huge middle eastern population in Queens, so it's easy to find great halal food in general.

My son and i went to NY in dec 2020 and we had Halal Guys and weve been OBSESSED since. Every single time we speak of our NY trip which was awesome actually we tell people about halal guys it was ded the highlight. They have one in orlando and we do live in florida but we now live in the pandhandlw but everytime we go to south florida we make a trip there which is over an hour out of our way to bring food home lol. Just made this recipe over the weekend for my GF and I. We love getting from the local halal place and MAN this recipe delivers that whole vibe. The red sauce is definitely super pungent, but I love the flavor mixed in with the white (as it should be). I also used avocado oil instead of veggie oil and I have a chili oil that is mixed with a bunch of chilis, so I added that all too. After the processor and straining it was smooth but super hot lol. The white sauce is 👌🏻 honestly. We drenched everything in it because it’s so good. Just tinker with the Mayo/yogurt to vinegar/lemon juice ratio and it’ll come out really nice. I’m gonna make it again tonight if that says anything! Love it
