Regarding the nuke scene: since it detonated _within_ the ship so to speak, you could imagine that the ship's hull turned to plasma and made a "fireball." Also, the infrared blast given off by the nuke could absolutely heat up surrounding matter regardless of having a conductive medium like air in between.

it’s highly unlikely, you’d need the nuke to first pierce the armour of the, most likely hard and resilient, alien ship, then to explode initially with out any oxygen, bearing in mind that these aliens most likely run off something other than oxygen. the explosion wouldn’t nearly be powerful enough to damage a ship like that either and it’s most definitely not running on any fuel source. that would require heaps of fuel to power a spaceship that’s travelling through space.

but he said the initial beam of light was correct so it did pierce the ship, also we see this aliens "breathe" normally on earth, since they are openly screaming and have no type of system for whatever they breather on their planet one can assume that they also breathe oxygen. that being said, thats me assuming and am a huge idiot xD

I'm glad someone has pointed out Tony passing out. No one has a real explanation for it, but Iron Man 3 touches on the impact that the battle of New York had on him. It could be shell shock. Physiological and psychological shock, he has been in near constant combat for an extended period of time, and has been mentally taxed that entire time too. Adrenaline would have been pumping through him constantly too.

I could be wrong, but...the only thing I believe that’s unrealistic about the falling scene is how fast he slows down. Just like any other Iron Man analysis video, unless he figures out a way to stop his own body’s/brain’s momentum from obliterating himself in the suit, he would probably die from that maneuver.

Well, this is mad late, but him passing out could be due to a pressure change? That mixed with the shock of what he was seeing? And the suit powering down could be do to Jarvis not controlling/monitoring it. Tony would have been too far away from earth for JARVIS to interact with the suit. And since Tony himself passed out, then there is nothing to control the suit. That, or just radiation/ alien ships frequencies messing up his tech.

@@martyc3447 The Arc reactor was a perpetual energy generator with virtually unlimited energy production capability(espeically since this is his new vibranium cored arc reactor that’s based on the tesseract energy) so his reactor probably would never run dry. However it’d be unlikely the reactor would just be hooked up to every part of the suit directly, Tony must have some kind of capacitors built in the suit to temporarily store the energy to be readily redistributed to different parts of the suit. My guess is if the suit did run dry, it’d be those capacitors running dry. That means that if Tony could sit still and wait a bit, his arc reactor could recharge those capacitors back to full, but then again, there’d be hardly any time to wait around when he’s in free fall...

@ph0ax497
@ph0ax497 3 жыл бұрын
also about that EMP discharge, you know i think that huge explosion of the warship was not from nuclear warhead itself, but more some kind of chain reaction. If technology of the alien ship was based on teseract structure (which is a part of iron man upgraded ARC reactor), then upon explosion, or some kind of implosion, there would be a lot of gamma rays bursts, and these can be altered to electric discharge (tho i have no particular knowledge on the details), and electric discharge could be so big, that Iron Man just shut down (as you said in the beginning). Also i think "400% capacity" was not "4x maximum capacity", but rather "4x standard power capacity". That would be more likely to have any sense. Iron Man could have additional cappacitor system designed to withstand some outburst of electricity, and "charge" like battery system or something like that. I could think of such systems in real world, like "afterburners" in jet planes (yet i know it's not based on electricity). Your videos are really nice to jumpstart thinking process.

His AI is connected wirelessly through a Hub and Nexus, a Satellite based Internet Connection which Tony had installed, it's shown in other parts of the Film as well Sequel in Age of Ultron. Maybe once he travelled through Wormhole, he lost the Range to his own wireless connectivity that is connected to his Suit, hence he upgraded the Suit with similar features in Infinity War on purpose, meaning the AI was pre-installed in the Suit with Nanotech.

One theory I've heard, and watched videos of, is Iron Man's progression of technology thru the movies. In Iron Man 2, he had trouble dealing with the electricity of whiplash's whips. So in the first Avengers movie, you see he's enabled his armor to harness and utilize that excess charge. Also in Endgame, he's even fine tuned it for Thor's lightning.

The nuke would actually burn, because you're forgetting that the mothership has to have air INSIDE in order for things to live. As soon as there's a breach in containment, from the initial explosion which is the flash of light, air would stream out in a way that makes the explosion possible to work and look the way it does. Even if it isn't traditional air, its still matter for that reaction to pass through and the atomic bombs made things burn that nobody expected to burn - people still don't understand all of the physics behind those detonations.

One theory I have for why the Iron Man suit shuts off after Tony flew through the wormhole is that, as shown previous to that scene his call to Pepper failed which means he lost connection/signal to earth through that wormhole opening. My theory is that the Mark VII suit he’s wearing does not have Jarvis or indeed any OS onboard yet(Jarvis did say the MK VII was not ready). Perhaps all throughout the fight Jarvis has been running the suit from the cloud? This would certainly support the follow up movie, Iron man 3, where Jarvis has been upgraded to run 40 suits from the cloud. Thus when Tony went through the wormhole and lost signal, the suit loses Jarvis and turned into just hardware with no OS essentially.

As cool as the free fall scene is, the thing I constantly keep hearing about is the sudden change from freefall to stopping and then to flying upwards is too drastic for Tony to actually survive. I don't know if it is possible for exosuits to decrease the effects of the change in force, so I can't really confirm this on my own. (I'm also too lazy/tired to do any research on it rn at least).

think about it this way , he was free falling at max terminal velocity , and he stopped in aproxamily 2 seconds to stop . max terminal velocity is around 200km/h , 55.5 m/s ... thx to the suit, the force of the stop is distribuited to the whole body ( on a car, you would have the force pressed in the place of your belt ( if you have one) or the first part of your body that is touching the car ( usualy your arms that are on the weel , then your head ) normaly an human can survive a 9 g ( 9x 9.8 m/s2) ... to reach 0 m/s from 55 m/s in 2 seconds you need an accelleration of around 22.5 m/s2 , that is around 3 g . totaly doable. edit : ofc, i may have fucked up the calculation of accelleration , you may want to watch into it :D it should be ((v1+v2):2) : ((t1+t2):2)) )

With the comment on the Iron Man suit being hit by lightning, you have to take into affect that there are means to absorb high amounts of electricity to an almost dangerous level before destroying the power cells and I would assume that discharging that much of a charge quite rapidly within moments of absorption would still be safe to the suit and the reserve cells being that the core for the arc reactor can handle an excess of stress before exploding. You would have to think an engineer at Tony Stark's status would have many failsafe mechanisms as well as ways to absorb energy without instant destruction of the core or the suit.

12:37 Actually, that's not true. The difference between holding your breath underwater versus holding it in space is that water has pressure. Underwater, you can hold it because the pressure around you is greater than or equal to normal air pressure, so it will stay in your lungs. With your lungs completely full of air, a normal person can stay conscious for around 2 minutes, and die after around 5. With training, some people can last 5 minutes conscious or even 22 minutes, the world record. Like a balloon, lungs will get smaller the more pressure is exerted on them, but they can hold the air inside. However, in a vaccuum, your lungs cannot hold that air in. Normal air temperature is 15 pounds per square inch, and your lungs will have a similar internal pressure. However, a vacuum has no pressure. Turns out, the lungs cannot handle an internal pressure difference of ~15 PSI and will rupture at best or be torn apart at worst. The same thing happens to a balloon when it gets too high: that balloon you let go as a kid floated up until the pressure difference was too great and it popped. The only way to not have your lungs explode is to release every bit of air in them. Due to the pressure difference, this is little more than opening your throat and letting the air get sucked out. At any given time, the oxygen in your body, excluding your lungs, is enough to keep normal brain function for 15 seconds. After that, you go unconscious. When you release every bit of oxygen in your lungs, even the reserve stuff that is left in, you have 15 seconds. That's why Tony passed out: he ran out of air because he had to exhale EVERYTHING. This is also why he felt so panicked, as suffocating inside a metal suit would make anyone fear for their lives, and this panic would also contribute to him passing out. This is why the space helmet Starlord has wouldn't work. It may give you oxygen, but oxygen isn't useful to a lung that is torn apart. Plus, the Avengers scene is more realistic than Guardians of The Galaxy as Tony's skin didn't freeze: that wouldn't happen in space.

I think, that he has laser like weapons in the suit, that are ususaly offline ( they are not being used ) , when thor hitted him with the lighting, those sistem turned online and already charged and ready to fire. thats why the suit is at 400% capacity , because all the system that should be used separately 1 at the time(or more), are all capable of be online at the same time .

Tony pass out because as we seen in the movie when Tony heard that there is a nuke coming in hot, he ordered Jarvis to put all there power supply into there thruster, henceforth Tony power depleted just after caring the nuke through the wormhole.

the only material available for the nuke at the end to react with is the air inside the ship and various materials and things in the ship that can be reacted with, whatever or not there is enought to create that fireball is up for discusion, and Tonys suit lost power before the detonation, in the fight in New York he used up most of his stored power and carrying the nuke thru the wormhole used up what he had left, i guess he lost conciousness due to various factors, like for one, without power there is nothing circulating and filtering the air in his suit so he is left with whats in the helmet, after just a short few breaths there would be nothing but Co2 in there so him going unconscious fast is not unthinkable, Thor removing his mask is what saved him as he was finally able to breath air, the Hulk essentially shocks him back to consciousness by screaming at him. oh, and on the subject of radiation... *!!WARNING!! BE CAREFULL WHEN LOOKING THIS PERSON UP AS HIS STORY AND PICTURES OF HIM IS SERIOUSLY DISTURBING !!WARNING!!* if you are curious about what ionizing radiation can do to you when exposed to high enough dose of it, look up "Hisashi Ouchi" you have been warned.

I think he passed out because his suit want not made to survive the vacuum in space. Causing no oxygen to run to his brain, if there is no oxygen in space, there nothing to keep providing him oxygen. As far as the suit goes I think it had to do I would think with some sort of life support system, maybe its allocating its resources to keep tony alive in space for a certain amount of time before he inevitably dies. A similar scenario to Tony being stuck with Nebula.

With each time tony suit has a flaw he always tries to find a better way to improve like in Captain America Civil War when ant man entered his suit because of the gap between his shoulders his solution for that was to use nanotech to be able to have no gaps for nothing small can enter into his suit.

11:50 I have a theroy as to why it did explode, so bassicly what happens is that, if u had backed up the video a bit more, u would've seen that the nuke was already moving at a fast speed, with its distanceof moving until explosion time longer thanks to ironman, i think thatthe nuke already had enough heat upon entering and going through the wormhole, witch them allowed to blow up!

You’re correct a nuclear explosion would not be the same way in space, instead of a big bowl of fire if a nuclear explosion was to blow up say a mothership the entire mothership would simply melt or become molten lava of metal but there would be no chaotic explosion 💥

Im late but with the bomb blowing up on the ship, would the oxygen in the ship not cause an explosion? Like say the bomb went through the window of it, they have to have oxygen in it, would that not be a catalyst for the fire to catch?

Um yeah, the turbine right if you ever playing with the slip ring I think you can send the electricity and electric signal into that like serial communication not sure which type they are using in the movie into the very strong LED screen that covers the propeller that would be possible to do with that technique, in theory, I think that the problem is its materials.

Genuine question regarding the flying aircraft carriers but have you considered they might be using nuclear power? As far as I understand submarines can stay submerged for weeks or months and although I’m not an engineer, it would explain how they are keeping these things airborne. You could also argue that Stark used some of the tech he uses to keep himself alive as a fuel source. Again, I’m not an engineer so I’m most likely wrong

just put a nuclear reactor on the Helicarriers or better ARC reactor there you go power problem solved the US has most if not all aircraft carriers have nuclear reactor so they never have to refuel or just refuel just once every 10-25 years before refueling or replace the reactor

The problem isn’t just fuel but power output. Nuclear reactors have an insane fuel efficiency but their output or jules isn’t as high as a diesel could be. Not to mention their heavy as shit.
