I am currently in the same position, however I have to say that I am leaning towards a used Crown Victoria. While the gas mileage isn't the greatest, the ability to use E85 in the 2005+ models is a nice perk. Also, the additional size makes front/rear collisions safer due to the added crumple zone. That being said, the Spark has a much nicer interior with more up to date media controls and some improved safety features. If you end up with the spark let me know how you like it, as I am still trying to decide between these two cars.

Bought my Spark for $10,100 OTD. The automotive deal of the decade. I think Spark owners are a smug bunch..lol...I look at $40K cars next to me at stop lights and think, "You Chump. car is truly worth it. Good gas mileage, Solid frame, and low maintainance. Its worth it for anybody looking to avoid high payments and interest while getting a strong durable product as well as a whole plethura of aftermarket accessories. Worth it and then some for 16000.

I loved my 2013 Spark so much I traded for a 2014 in lavender. I drive conservatively and have made 45 mpg with a.c. on interstate driving. I would recommend manual transmission for better power. Got the base model, didn't even want power windows. Don't want any gadget basket kind of car. Just a.c.. Spark does what I need very well. I just Don't like the generic Chevy grill on newer models prefer the 13, 14 style much more. Only paid $11,900 for the 13 and 10k even for the 14 brand new plus fees of course.

Vincent D If you have seen the heavy traffic in B-more, you have no doubt seen the many POTHOLES too. There are potholes galore in Baltimore, and you have to look out for them so that you don't drive over them! I can just picture what that would feel like in a Spark!
@collinparsons33636 жыл бұрын
The American car manufacturers don't have a particularly good reputation for making small cars, but this thing looks great for the price. The latest technology available on all trims and even the top of the line loaded trim is well under 20k.

I test drove a Spark before I bought my 4th smart Fortwo. While it looked good in pictures, I found the overall feel of the Spark to be really cheap. Nice technology, but a super tight interior and very under powered engine with an unexciting driving experience. It does cost much less than the smart, but I guess you get what you pay for.
@djkenny12027 жыл бұрын
A base Smart should be no more than 10,500 after negotiation. However, I have seen Sparks as low as $9888 locally lately.

@goldpony7 жыл бұрын

@chrismonroe84177 жыл бұрын
Dustin Hart my wife and I just bought a brand new 2016 spark with the CVT and honestly, if you aren't like highway driving and needing to pass people fast n furious style, you won't really realize it only has 98hp due to the CVT doing a good job of getting you moving. This is coming from someone who's owned performance vehicles for years. Vehicle before this spark was an 09 G8 with a cam swap and full bolt on. Of course the spark isn't meant for performance and I was totally aware of that when I bought it. The lack of power is super noticeable whenever you try to pass someone, as expected with 98hp. But city driving, these do absolutely great.
@TodayWithDustin7 жыл бұрын
EDIS Official ™ I meant personally I think it's a little underpowered. I wouldn't mind taking a low powered vehicle on a road trip. I don't think it would be that bad on the highway but I just personally wouldn't buy a car less then 100hp.
@chrismonroe84177 жыл бұрын
Dustin Hart oh there's no doubt that it's underpowered. They should have just put the same turbo they toss on all their 1.4s. When I lived in Japan, we had a vehicle with about 60hp and it did alright although the speed limits there are way lower. But for American roads, yea these are way underpowered. Would be little rockets with a turbo considering these weigh next to nothing as far as vehicles go

I will not believe anything they say. I bought a 2016 Spark from these crooks. When you buy a car you get roadside assistance on paper. If you need it don't expect to receive it. Once they get your money they will treat you like trash. I locked my keys in the car 3 months after I got the car.. It was 9.00 in the morning, since I was close to them I walk over to them. I told them what had happened, they couldn't cut a new key for me and told me they couldn't get someone to the car till after 3.00.
