But in most cities, a bike is much more sensible. Maybe not mid western winters, but I do know folks who add studded tires to a bike, wear the right clothes and they are "good". Depends. If it is under 5 miles then cycling can make a lot of sense.

Your review is right down degrading and possibly rude. I purchased the LT 5 speed 2 days ago and it is a perfect city car. Im not one of those lazy people you talked about and its actually a really fun driving car. If Cheverolet Corp gets wind of this video, you can bet they'd be very upset with this review. 👎🏻

I'm going to test drive a manual 1LT tomorrow since there's a 20% off sale going on nationwide. If I could get a brand new 1LT manual for like $12-13k out the door, that would be sick! One of our company cars is a previous-gen Spark. I like it, but HATE the cvt with a passion.

Don't let these "dipstick dorks" tell you about this car, when they haven't even driven it (duh)...I own the exact make/model but, 2016...it's actually really "zippy" & has fooled alot of others who were as arrogant as these two seem to be. I bought it cause it was the only thing I could buy on my lame (sorry arrogant guys) budget & after driving it 6 months, I'm glad I got it (it's actually made in South Korea by Daewoo "owned" by Chevy)

Do people drive 105mph? Or over that? I mean, we're not driving race cars on the road - we shouldn't. I love my Chevy Spark and for my lifestyle it is the most practical car for me. Also love how large the windows are compared to a lot of the popular cars the guys commentating in this video would suggest over this car. So many cars these days have tiny windows. Least you can see all around you and parking is brilliant. It's a car made of practicality. And for the price, it's good.

buildmorefarms100 I have a 2015 Rouge base trim that I use mostly when going out with the wife and kids but I also have a spark to go to work or personal errands. Great milage and easy to find a parking spot. Plus I don't need anything larger when I am alone. And where I live, it gets really hot in the summer and a bicycle is just not an option when you have to do 4 hours worth of driving.

Cool thing seats fall down and can take it to drive in theater lay in it . Damn cool car. These guys are out of there living minds. Comes with apple carplay and Android auto play really Awsome with navigation system on 7inch screen. Best deal on the market. Test drive a LT see for yourself. Filled my car today for 20 bucks!!!

First of all I feel targeted by the living in the basement comment lol... Also I live in a rural area and the only dealership around is GM so I'm sort of limited in that way. I also like the lack of electronic features because it is less stuff to go wrong. This is a fun car to drive with a manual transmission and I like to take it on twisting gravel roads and river valleys. It can drift ok on the downhills. It's tough to find new cars that are this lightweight.
@djkenny12027 жыл бұрын
These can be bought for under 10 grand. But so can a Nissan Versa S. The Versa would likely hold up better long term, certainly roomier, electric side mirrors, if you like a trunk... it has a trunk. The Spark more fun to drive, little bit cooler looking (subjective) and has Apple Car Play, plus the fold down rear seat and hatch is super handy. 14 grand would be a lot for a car like this, too much. Then you got the Mitsubishi Mirage, gotta deal with valve adjustments every 30k and a 3 cylinder.. but over 45 MPG is reported and they have all kinds of power stuff inside some of you might care about (I don't). About $10,500 out the door. Might be the most reliable of the 3, and has a 10 year 100k warranty. Nice to know we have good cars under 11 grand out there to consider.

I really hope that this review was supposed to be a little ironic. You're comparing it to cars not necessarily in it's class. The plus side to having all of the manual controls, less electronics to fail over time. It's a simple, small, fun-to-drive hatchback, that doesn't break the bank. I have one and I think it's great (and I am a car guy btw). I liken it to another car that I used to have, ( and regret getting rid of) my 1984 Mk1 VW GTI. That was another simple, small, fun-to-drive hatchback. They even have similar horsepower. I take my little Spark on twisty back roads on my commute home, the thing is a blast to drive, because you don't have to go fast to have fun in a car. The bonus of my car is that I got during the promotion at the end of last year, I paid a whopping $8500 for a new car. :)

Not everyone wants a gadget basket car that will blow your nose for you. I got a 2013 and loved it and traded for a lavender 2014. You know how much extra remote keys cost? $18 each, got two extra. How much will remote keys run? Also don't give a hoot about 0 to 60 in 2 seconds. It does what it is designed to do very well. I plan on another new Spark this year. Oh yes, I paid cash and can have steak dinners anytime and often as I want. What's your car payment??
@matthewrenna92685 жыл бұрын
This is an unfair review. My mother has a base 2013 spark with the 5 speed manual in blue. She's put over 100k miles on it, and there's been practically nothing wrong with it. It's been averaging 44 mpg, and the ride honestly is not bad. It's not even that slow, and it rides okay enough for me. You guys are just a bunch of spoiled brats who have been given fancy stuff all of their life and you expect the best of everything. Most people can't have the nicest of everything. My car is a 2006 cobalt ls coupe with the 5 speed manual and my dad has a 2007 cobalt lt sedan. They've worked fine and I quite like my cobalt. But you guys probably would just think we suck and are low life trash just because we don't drive a bunch of 50k+ BMWs or Audis. Sorry guys, but you need to get in touch with what most people can afford. Most people aren't rich losers like you guys are.

This car is appealing. 14 grand? I think the buyer really needs to learn to negotiate. Buy this with a 5 speed for 10 grand. That is possible. If you want more, then go buy a Honda Fit LX for 15-16 grand. But, getting ahead of myself.. this is worth it, and great in Base form. ONLY. I have seen ads to get you to come in and buy the ones NOT worth it, for $9000. That is pretty cheap for a great new car. Who cares that the trunk is not automatic? Or that it has 15" wheels? Keyless Entry? That's fine. 10 grand!! Not 20 grand. It even has AC!, Apple Car Play, tons of air bags, arm rests, Tach, cup holders throughout.. it is a great car for the money. If a woman likes you based on the car you drive, or if you drive a car.. let that one GO. Smart ladies will think you are smart for saving $.
