The kind of song that makes you rethink your life. If the Mona Lisa was a song, it would be this. Contemplative.......melancholy with a twist of hope. Poetic.......chills........I often envision my life set to a jazz soundtrack. The vibrato of the strings.......the tuba laying the bass down. Too smooth. Bill Lee is the man. I'd love to work with him and Terence Blanchard. Legends......

Mine too. The soundtrack sets the tone for the film. It might be a smaller, more intimate film than his others, but the music gives it a larger than life energy.

Music....music for film or by itself simply doesn't get more rich and beautiful than this. Somewhere about 2:30 into it, a lump in my throat starts and a tear or two fall. Bill Lee is pure genius. He's my favorite composer ..... of all time, Period!! Love you, Bill! You should really mention that Terence Blanchard did the arranging and orchestration of this and the rest of the movie. Bill Lee wrote the melody and chord changes to the title song Mo’ Betta Blues.
