The words 'sets you free' or anything about being 'set free', are SO often used in Christianese. But, even after growing up in pastor culture--surrounded by those who were VERY grace-based theologically--being constantly exposed to theological discussion, THIS is the first sermon that guided me to that freedom. God blessed me beyond words by this message and I share it as often as people around me seem to be ready to hear it.

Whereas I agree with most of what this man says I would like to take exception to one statement he makes. At 25:50 he says if anyone says God told me to tell you... Run!! I was at a 7-11 several years ago and God told me to tell the person working there that He loved them. I hesitated but He kept insisting that I tell them. When I did the person started crying and told me that she was a church going person in her youth but had walked away many years ago. She was thinking about going back to church but her family had told her it was too late. God would not "take her back" because of her years of living in sin, after knowning Him in her younger days. God wanted her to know that He loved her and was waiting with open arms to embrace her in His love. So God will tell you to speak a word to someone.

It is a good idea to tell of God's love. I do not doubt that God really used your comment. Though, it is a very general comment. If this happens without follow-up with more gospel grace. it can just be a feel good experience. I think Mr. Farley is addressing the mindset of a lot of presumptuous church groups who don't teach the Bible, but they claim all kinds of supernatural occurrences. I wish you peace and good days!

Dear brother Just one point about being complete and not needing any thing than a new heart! Why then does Paul Eph 5:18 exhort the Church to be filled with the Spirit. And how come the Apostles in Acts 4 :31 were filled again to preach the word boldly does this not show clearly God grants further infilling of His supernatural anointing. If believers don’t see this reality or told they should not expect refreshing or refills of God’s Spirit will that not weaken their ability to act.

Was recommended by my brother, sealed secure, and must admit I find it ironic that (assuming this is a ministry based on the trinity) Paul's admonition to avoid 'traditions of men' is taught by such a ministry. God spent *thousands of years* efforting to disabuse us of the idolatry of "going after other gods" and, now that He has finally revealed Himself for the *individual* He is in Christ, His 'body' goes around believing & teaching its Head isn't even a *He* but a "them". I would LOVE to talk to someone about this but, no one will. This is so heartbreaking, I can't even tell you.. Mr. Farley, will you engage in a conversation on this? I ask because, if they really ARE 3 people, I am terribly wrong & I do NOT want to meet them thinking that. If, however, He is really Him & there is none beside Him, we should determine that just as much as if I thought you were 3 people because, lets face it, you & I (or anyone & *anyone* ) would have a terrible time trying to establish a relationship w/ someONE who is *really* someTHREE (or vice versa). God bless you, Mark Ducharme
@carolaspinall15626 жыл бұрын
MARK, I was at the same crossroad as you many years ago, I could not understand how Jesus Christ fitted into the equation. But one thing I did know about was the one true God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob. So I prayed to this God who was the creator of the universe and ME. I said "God I don't understand what your about, I don't understand where Jesus fits in, I know about you, but I'm confused. Help me understand". I can argue with you till the cows come home, because that is what would happen. All I can say is talk to the God of all creation, as it is by revelation from Him and Him alone that truth is revealed.
@ronaldpettifurd59575 жыл бұрын
The Godhead. God the Father. God the Son. God the Spirit. It's the mystery of Godliness. God relates to me through Jesus, because I'm a simple man, who cannot comprehend the Father. But let us read Isaiah 9:6 which call Kesus the Father, or where he tells Phillip if you have seen me you have seen the Father. 😊

@markducharme95186 жыл бұрын
Still working my way through Mr. Farley's video here but, I'm guessing he would suggest that, in the NEW Covenant, we are no longer to focus on ourselves & what *we* are *doing* rather, we are transformed from *within* for it is His (Jesus') love that lives IN us & directs us. So, under the OLD covenant (law), we get to know law intimately. Whereas, in the *new* , we get to know Jesus intimately and, that *intimacy* is what brings change (as a "byproduct") as opposed to "changing ourselves" so that we *might* know Him. You see, the old covenant NEVER promised us we would know our God, Jesus. It was foretold in Jeremiah 31:31-34 & fulfilled in Jesus
@artsyladie76 жыл бұрын
We are free to drink, but His Spirit will lead us not to get drunk which is in excess. He will lead us away from excess of anything. And yes, our focus is on Him and what He has done, and off ourselves. Thank you Jesus.

Salvation is the FREE gift of God! Paul said the things I don't want to do, are the very things I do....called himself the chief sinner! The Bible says we are to go and work out our salvation....in other words, a work in progress! We all have some sin we deal with....every single believer! But, with prayer, fasting, and study, and simply allowing the Holy Spirit to work in is, we can be delivered from our sins.....but it has nothing to do with whether or not we are saved....it just means we are sinners, even though we are saved, that need to work out our salvation....the free gift of God!
@buckshot29126 жыл бұрын
Cindy Hull here's something to think about. What's your motive for drinking is it for your own glory or for the glory of God. And what's the guide you compare with to determine what God considers to be drunk or not. We're not to be drunk with wine, but to be filled with the Spirit. Try praying about it,if you really want to know the truth about drinking alcohol or using any other mind altering substance, have the faith to trust the Spirit of God to direct your path . That way you won't have to depend on somebody else's conscience to direct you, that's a dangerous play. You said you don't get drunk, but it's hard to quit sometimes. That should be a clue to weather you should continue to drink or not. Because if it's the flesh that's motivating you to drink and not the Spirit, eventually it can take you captive, and make you a bondslave to alcohol dependency rather than God dependency. And it doesn't give warning like I do. Just be careful,God bless 😁
@empielouw51615 жыл бұрын
