Hi Dan, Glad to see you have yourself a ram lamb to grow! This season I've had 2 ewes lamb giving me 2 ram lambs and a ewe lamb. Then I have one of our homebred ewes having her first lambing next month. We LOVE the sheep they are hard workers grazing all that grass and fertilizing as they go. Sure beats hours on a ride-on lawn tractor! Enjoy all your new livestock! Cheers, Tracy

Such a happy video! Tess has the most contagious smile that I know of! So glad Little Buddy's wish for sheep has come true! I love seeing sheep on your homestead and in your care. Your affection for sheep is so relaxing to see. Thank you for taking the time to make the video. I know that it is very time consuming, but I hope you will treat us to lots and lots of sheep videos. I'd like to watch as Blue and Willow adjust to the new guests in the pastures. Thank you, again, for such a great video!!!
@TheGrassfedHomestead4 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Betty. Willow got a harsh introduction to the new sheep. She wanted to play with the lamb. The mom didn't like that so she rammed Willow. Willow is keeping her distance now.

Those are Khatadin sheep? I know they are hair, meat sheep but i wonder if you could get any milk from them...maybe 2 cups a day (whatever that is in pounds)?? Is there going to be any issues with their stomachs? Are your paddocks a different diet? I guess not as they were grass fed previously. Well, great to see things moving along. Are poultry on the list?
@TheGrassfedHomestead4 жыл бұрын
there won't be any forage issues for them. They are katahdin. Some katahdins a descent milkers but not this one
