So inspirational! I don't have the kind of tools you have (CNC and injection molding), but I love making 3D printed RC tanks.

Grousers are devices intended to increase the traction of continuous tracks, especially in loose material such as soil or snow. This is done by increasing contact with the ground with protrusions, similar to conventional tire treads, and analogous to athletes' cleated shoes. On tanks and armoured vehicles, grousers are usually pads attached to the tracks; but on construction vehicles they may take the form of flat plates or bars.

Holy crap you have come a long way. Even got a limited lifetime warranty. If there is no belt to slip are you worried about burning up the motor?

Nope not at all, the Pololu motor drivers I use have current limiting. By default its set to 15amp, you can lower it in USB if you wanted. Means the drivers will not allow the motors to ever pull more then what you set. Not many controllers have that. Without that feature you would burn up motors when stalled.

@@thegreatestmoo oh that makes sense. And sorry I wrote the comment before I got to that point in the video.

Looks like you may want to make a handle where the plow mounts to an on that a mount for the remote control.

Sooooo I guess my question now is... do you have a kit, that I can buy and build... but just like what you show here, with metal subframe and chains not belts, you know all the upgraded features??? I want to make this a one time purchase and build, not rinse and repeat ( build and take apart to upgrade and build again and again)??? I am super interested!!!! please let me know

Hey yeah I make everything in my workshop here. I use a CNC converted PM25MV and make aluminum molds, I have a few other videos on that.

they are insanely cool but for what they cost I can buy 2 maybe 3 gas powered ones
@thegreatestmoo
@thegreatestmoo 5 жыл бұрын
Yup, they are all hand made by me and take a really long time, no mass production.
@Tokatt
@Tokatt 5 жыл бұрын
@@thegreatestmoo Sad cause I really would like one. But I would think that with a 3d printer how come you can not mass produce? You only have to buy the plastic roles and stuff and thats cheap. I know the electronics are not but you know.

@@Tokatt you have obviously never used a 3d printer. I'm currently making a lithophane lamp shade base of it is 250mm 200mm tall the thickest part of lamp shade is 3.2mm and it is going take approximately 135hrs to print it. in order to mass produce things with 3d printer would require having 500 or more printers.
