I used your video to add velcro to a patch. Hoping it holds up well in the heat. Sometimes I leave my bag in the hot car. Thank you very much for the helpful DIY.

Super helpful! I got lots of travel patches and concert patches that I can’t wait to slap on some patches on my bag. Thanks for the content!

I would recommend using a self healing cutting mat when you cut them out, if nothing else it will save the tip of the hobby knife a little.

I put the piece I want to use under a stack of books or something for a few days. Not flat, but less curled.

I think i'll have to try this, I need to attach some female velcro to a plate carrier. I might try this instead of sewing it on.

If your cutting things like sticky velcro or double sides tape a thin film of goo gone keeps the sticky off the metal (a thin film)

Have you try to apply Velcro to zip pouch, I bought some Otto bags but wish they had loop on the back.
@jay.sanford5 ай бұрын
I just added a morale patch to a Zip Pouch without the hook and loop by using the adhesive that came on the back of the patch itself. Obviously not a permanent solution, but so far, so good.

Thanks for the tutorial. Just curious, if you are going to bond these with Secure Stitch, is there any advantage to using the sticky backed Velcro? I'm wondering whether the sticky back won't somehow contaminate the Secure Stitch or if it actually helps.

I'm wondering the same thing.. and there's wax on the back of the patch.

Could I use the glue to put a Velcro panel on a pack?

Did you ever try it the other way around? I have a nice chrome ind. 14l ruckas here and would like to glue a female on the recycled PET material.

How do you cut off the excess velcro without cutting the patch when you have patches with uneven edges (yours had really even edges around them)?
@kyleo3686 Жыл бұрын
You could get a very small exacto knife and just take your time. If you nick the patch a little, you could take a lighter to it and “seal” it up.

So i made my first Velcro patch, its still drying at the moment. I checked on it and it seems the glue E6000 bled through, is it supposed to do that?
@heartforchrist7004 Жыл бұрын
I only put enough to spread and it soaked through and went to the front side of embroidery and you can see where it went through. Can anything be done? It says it’s colorless but as of now it looks like it completely ruined it but making it darker

Thats an OTF knife. Stands for “out the front” Kinda expensive if you want a real nice one. Like a Benchmade Infidel

Can it be used to fix patches on to a nylon fabric jacket ??
@Special_FX Жыл бұрын
Yes, just use the synthetic version he has

I know super glue will work. But the question is, will it damage the fabric or if it doesn't will it leave a residue on the front side of the patch?
@Special_FX Жыл бұрын
Try E6000 fabri-fuse.

How do you attach velcro to the inside of my tactical back back to hold my 10.5 AR-15 foldable stock, as well my 30 round magazines
@igotsome45266 күн бұрын
you sure are putting a lot on there. liquid stitch and CA thin require significantly less for a stronger yield. also stiffens the patch.

Thanks for the comment. I’ll take note for the future. I think YT processing compressed the audio track a little more and might have brought the music a little more forward.

if you have a lot of patches to do over a time span, its probably faster and cheeper. Plus some patches just dont look great when you have it stiched.
