That was actually due to improper tape storage
@CornmolioАй бұрын
@@AllofJudeaCorrect, that’s why we always used to store tapes “tails out”. It’s not a previous take you’re hearing, it’s material recorded a few seconds later that’s bleeding through early because of the charged magnetic particles on the tape influencing the part of the tape it’s wrapped around. The hotter the signal, the more “bleed”.

Any without maybe staged. The music is all live recording. You can see Pages hair is different lengths. JPJ had to wear a wig for reshoots because he had cut his hair considerably. Jimmy said this himself. The music is very live in front of people.

The phone ringing was actually the 14-year-old girl that jimmy page was statutorily graping. He used to take her from state to state and make her stay locked in the hotel room. He wouldn't let her ride on the bus you know with that whole crossing state lines with a minor so he knew what he was doing was illegal and immoral. Kinda like the Ted Nugent of the 60s. if Ted Nugent like girls over the age of 13. Well I guess at least she had gone through puberty so that's a plus.

The real reason they left stuff like that in is because tape was expensive and for the most part no one would ever hear them on production albums or cassette tapes. One of the reasons back in the day the band and others like them drug their feet on putting their stuff on CD until it could be "remastered". I have a lot of CD's from back then and you can hear all kinds of stuff.
