Files look Good, keep buying them, but since they aren't all hobby-related, I only end up liking a few of them. The size of the flat one in the video looks decent. I have a few around that size, but are maybe 30% narrower which is a little annoying. Good quick video. The value seems decent.

+Merritt Filban thanks for watching, I tend to like jewelers files myself but always good to have different styles and grit files for different needs.

Would you recommend using files for sharpening corners or edges on parts over using sand paper for better results?
@STARSHADOWWOODWORKS7 жыл бұрын
+Jin Wu I actually would or alternatively you can glue sand paper to pop sickle sticks to get a nice flat surface to keep edges crisp.

Can I make the files sharp again or do I have to keep buying more and more
@STARSHADOWWOODWORKS5 жыл бұрын
I've never had a problem with files going dull unless your filing metal. They may get clogged in the teeth and you can just use a wire brush to clean out teeth.

And push it only dont drag it when pulling back thats the weak spot of files

Dave's World Do you remember the brand? And what do you think of the sujiborido thin file (薄刃鬼斬) ?
@STARSHADOWWOODWORKS4 жыл бұрын
@@jerryjin3427 I have a couple of the sujiborido files and all great. I don't remember brand but I did video on a wooden handled hobby file. That's my most expensive and favorite.

These files are not good. They tend to rust.
@STARSHADOWWOODWORKS6 жыл бұрын
+MightyZocalo I've never had any rust but then I don't get wet and if do I dip in 99pct alcohol after. If yours rust try hitting with clr or a rust remover.

Yup. That's what happens when you don't take proper care of your tools.
