It may have been obvious from our last 725 game video that we weren’t the biggest fans in the world.

Browning has done a good job over the years keeping relevant. I lament so many domestic manufacturers here in the the U.S. have failed to do so and closed their doors.

click click clock got this gun recently it was a match. big uppgrade from my old sabatti lol I hunt grouse, black grouse, capercallie, pigeons, ducks, geeses, hare, fox and roedeer with my shotgun. hunt in the middle part of Norway

I keep it simple, if I'm shooting clays I use my 725 Sporting. If I'm after grouse I use my 725 Sporting. Should I be lucky enough to hunt pheasant, my 725 Sporting. If I'm waterfowling you guessed it, I use a beat up old 870 Wingmaster pump lol.

* Any gun that has the wording " hunting or field " connected to its name, and does not have double triggers or the option of double triggers is a target gun first and a game gun a poor second. Nice that Browning puts a left handed top lever on this gun, but what did they do to the stock for left handed shooters? Most Brownings have to thick of a piece of wood at the comb. It's so thick that a lot of people have to lay their cheek over the comb in order to see down the center of the rib. Moving the point of the comb back is nice for big handed people, but by doing so you may be bring your thumb to close to your face especially when shooting heavy loads. Glad to see they are using a mechanical trigger system, but two triggers would be the best system for a hunting gun.

Why is this style of stock better for game than for clays?

More drop, less overall shoulder engagement, easier to swing around on harsh angles in any direction without getting caught up

At last they’ve got rid of that tulip forend monstrosity but, no Prince of Wales grip! - a missed opportunity to make it look really classy. A fan of Browning, I’d have put this on order but not really worth swapping one of my current 525’s for something so ordinary looking.
