I've had mine for about 6 months and found that my team couldn't hear me when I was on work calls so I ended up putting it down for the Arctis 9x, if the A50s had a bluetooth connection as well it really would be the perfect headset for both.

@@yadielvasquez837 not sure if you went with the articx 9x. I had them and they were alright. I love the Bluetooth feature so I can watch YT and playing. Mic was great quality and I love that I couldn’t remove the mic and it are retractable as well. I used to lose my mics all the time lol. However I have experienced glitchy things on Xbox. Audio cutting in and out, sometimes my headset turns off, sometimes it goes out for a few seconds then reconnects. This is the only headset that has this has happened. I use Xbox one for reference. I also didn’t like the audio quality as much as the turtle beach. It’s wild though because turtle beach is far more expensive. It was the most comfortable headset I’ve ever had, at the cost of audio. Overall I give this headset a 6/10. Where as the previous turtle beach I owned, the stealth 420X was a 7/10. I would recommend for the casual gamer, since this isn’t a competitive headset, however there are cheaper headsets for better audio quality.

Idk how their "dolby 7.1" is on the headset but instead activate dolby atmos for headphones through software and be amazed. So much better than anything I've ever experienced

I can't seem to find an aswer to this anywhere, so I figured (since the review itself was so good) I'd ask it here: Does the base station need to be plugged in to the PC at all times? Or do you only need to plug it in to initially connect it and then you can swap it to a regular outlet? I have a laptop with a very limited number of USB connections, so I'm hoping I don't have to plug my last remaining one to use the headphones.

Yes the base station must be plugged in at all times for the headset to stay connected

Damn I got the steel series artics 7 yesterday after owning the astros a 40 and I would say the mic and sound on my a40s was much better. Maybe it's because I got used to using my astros for 5years but I'm already considering taking these back to get the a50s

@@bobbymiller5297 I didn't mind the mic that much it's until they get use it cause I know people who have the artics and they sound fine to me. Honestly my biggest complain is long term comfort as it starts to push down too much on my head/glasses which starts to hurt

@@dylanmuscat that's interesting. Because for me their pretty comfortable. I wear glasses as well. But my only complaint is their kinda loose and don't stay well in place on my head. I really like my turtle Beach 700. They stay on my head better and I just flip the mic up to mute it. Plus I like the type c charger on those better. Maybe you should try those.

If you adjust settings via the Command Center, your EQ adjustments won't be audible. When using just the USB connection, you'll have access to only one EQ setting. Switching between EQ 1, 2, and 3 won't function. Additionally, Surround Sound doesn't operate when the USB is connected to your console. To enable EQs and Surround Sound, locate the optical cable behind your TV. Connect one end to your Base Station and the other to your TV. Then, connect the USB cable from your Base Station to your TV. This resolves the issue. Note that using USB on your TV disables microphone communication but allows you to hear others in-game.

The Xbox A50 head set can' work for both pc and Xbox, but the A50 for Playstation works only for Playstation

If you buy the Mod-Kit the bass is there for good. Adobe you need to buy a licens and install it from the Microsoft store the one on the Station is not Adobe on its own. Great Video :)

Iv not watched the vid but im returning mine. Sound seems worse than gen 3 was on my PS5. Plugged into my lgcx via optical cable. For some reason sound effects like explosions, gunfire, environment (eg waterfalls) sound muffled or something like in a bathroom. Maybe it could be fixed by getting new eq presets but i dont have pc at the minute so its annoying all 3 presets arent working for me. Not 100% happy so rather have my £219 back. Might try out steelseries or something.

You should not be turning your PC off. Just put it to sleep. Studies show your PC will have a longer life span leaving it on 24/7 then starting it up and shutting it down full every day.

Just got them and god damn are they good! I firstly struggled a little bit, because the Ps5 doesn't have an Opt-Output, but found out the Tv's output does just fine. I have an Lg Cx, don't know if it makes any difference that it is dolby capable (pretty much the same as 3d sound of the ps5). I ordered the HDMI splitter only to see if there is any difference in sound quality. Still have to tweek a bit of settings, but all in all it is the greates headset I have ever owned. I even hear dead people 😂

1 month the problems with this head set happen in 6 months man do another updated review in like 6 months . in 6 months my wired astro a40 tr the foam just fell off after 6 months cause of my sweat and my shampoo ruined the fine finished metal. on the headset. that just the astro a40 tr wired head set . please do a legit review 6 months down the road of heavy use . if i have problems like my wired version they only lasted me 6 years . thank god before the wire in one side broke . i could not hear anything from the left ear and also after 4 falls from my headset the microphone stop working on one side i had too use my mic on the right side . this headset had a longevity problem .
