Every time I go back to watch people like Haboo, or BlaDe, I'm amazed at the level at which they operate when it comes to Stardew Valley. And then I sit back and be content in the level that I am at, because whilst I doubt I would ever be able to play at their level (I also play on console), I'm already very happy with where I'm at with my own SDV playthroughs. These guys, and basically most all SDV content creators, have all taught me some valuable skills to include in my playthroughs, and has really leveled me up.

If you play on the Riverland farm and are good at fishing. You can semi-consistently get to the festival year 1 by catching The Legend and getting lucky with rain. You need to skip the egg festival. I did it once on the forest farm, but it took an insane amount of luck, and I didn't have the same resources that I did on the riverland farm (iron pickaxe).

from what ive seen, emily’s outfits depend on what your highest skill is level wise. so if you have level 10 fishing and everything else is lower, she will give you a fishing themed outfit. idk how the game determins it when every skill is level 10, i would guess its random to some degree

For my early attempts at Skull Cavern I was so under prepared for how many bombs I need. I passed out quite a few times in those attempts, no where near floor 100. The time I did get that far I had half an hour until I passed out and few bombs left. I’m _just_ getting to the point where I can make a good amount of money so the bombs weren’t the easiest to get. So, I’m not surprised by the bomb number, keeping this in mind for when I’m planning to go deeper. Getting that goal complete was enough for me for a bit, so more runs are delayed. …except the desert festival is coming up so I guess I’ll be returning. Edit: I did have like 40ish staircases but I didn’t want to use them because I wanted to get the better dialogue from Mr. Qi. I used them sparingly until I was running out of time and used them more haphazardly, accepting the consequences just to finally complete it. Yet I still got the better answer??? Or maybe he was being sarcastic about it- I wasn’t sure how many I used so not sure.

He is a speedrunner; even when he is trying really hard to correct for "normal player" he's still overestimating. Still: if you play well and have a bit of luck, by year 2 it is _possible_ you can have your greenhouse mostly filled with ancient fruit, and Mines spelunking over the previous winter to help fund a barn full of pigs that you let grow up over the winter to start getting loads of truffles for money come spring. I don’t think it's as likely as he makes it out to be, but it's not actually impossible.

i was using a level 4 parrot in the regular mines up until i couldn't oneshot enemies with the build i had at the time. spending about half the day there without using monster musk or anything, i came back with around 10k gold. i havent used it that much (i since started a new file shortly after getting that trinket) but it was shocking how good it was tbh. i wouldn't recommend using it for skull caverns or the volcano though, it's much better to use a trinket that helps you out in combat in some way there. but if you get a high level parrot early enough, it can really give you a huge boost in your finances. just use monster musk and stick to areas where you can reliably kill everything quickly to maximize your profits not sure if this answered your question, but that was my experience using the parrot!

yes, with Right Shift + Del + R you can animation cancel in vanilla yourself without anything else. But he is using a macro to bind them all on one key, so he can press the left button and some ms later he presses an other button on this keyboard to cancel the animation. You can also write a script (like i did) which cancels the animation automatically when holding down a specific button (this way you can still chose between not animation canceling and animation canceling) but in offical speedruns this isnt allowed as far as i know. Funfact: if you press s (so looking to the south) you cant animation cancel that fast like from the other directions. For rocks and woods its about 40ms time before you can animation cancel safely from west, north and east but looking to the south below 90ms delay before animation canceling can actually fail lol Also for watering and hoeing you need a way higher ms delay before animation canceling (like 150 is safe for all directions), thats why i added an extra button to switch between fast mode and normal mode lol

Sure, you could have an Iridium-Burglar and Iridium-Luck combo. But swapping that Lucky ring with Savage or Napalm might help you better.

If anyone really want easy mode I’d recommend my cheese strat of going to every elevator level in the mines at the start of the day. Gets you an automatic ~20 egg level. Gil rewards the highest egg level you get in a day so you can still cavern run without worrying you’ll loose that initial cheesed level if you don’t get higher from caverning

In this case, having higher luck would produce more "rock stairs" that has a 20% chance to be converted into drop shafts. Thus, higher luck does indirectly boost chances of drop shafts.

Basically just farm egg rating and eggs from skull cavern. Take one of marlons quests every day and before passing out make sure you talk Gil to get more. Also talk to the weird cook man and get rare fruit with uncomfy hot sauce for luck and speed buff
