My BFF from years ago used to do some amazing hair. Everything from braids to extensions n natural styles. She wasn't a professional she actually was a CNA at the nursing home where I was supervisor but she was a darn magician when she did hair!! I used to sit in hher house n watch her do hair for hours i learned a lot n it gave me such a great appreciation for black womens hair. I'm Latina n all the women in my family have beautiful thick hair n I ended up with the most boring straight fine hair so I just lived vicariously through her clients n through videos like these lol.❤

@N Arrington yes, but it is still less heat on her natural hair. Hairdresser would have had to use hot comb and curlers aswell on the ladies' natural hair. In turn, that would have been alot more heat. Not to mention more tension on her have too.

I absolutely love it!!! I totally understand why the client didn’t want to do this style on her own natural hair as the extensions were protecting her hair and the style lasted much longer than her natural hair would have. Ponytail or messy bun she couldn’t have gone wrong with either style. I love your work!!!

I think the reason her own hair is long and healthy is because she uses protective styles like this. Plus there are cultures that will allow wigs ECT. to be worn in place of hair coverings or your hair.

I wear wigs and head wraps, whatever I feel like. When people see you look good, some times they will tell you and sometimes they won't. I don't care, they not going to dull my shine. 😊

Alopecia took away my edges and to see you add a hairline just blew me away! Loved the finished style, both the curls and the comb out.

Rosemary oil is said to be good to combat alopecia, as well as Alot of ayurvedic herbs ... There is a woman who makes hair serums and masks and she's under the name curly proverbs. Fenugreek,amla, and also you get get some aloe vera water at Walmart or even get a piece from the grocery store and blend it up and spray that on your head. Or you can boil some hibiscus/Jamaica flower with some cut up aloe vera and spray that on your face and head. And also shea butter makes good oil/conditioner and black soap makes good shampoo

Like I understand with more Americanized hair ways like the mask can seem excessive and messy, but if you put the mask of ayurvedic herbs on your hair it's good to mix it with oil and conditioner, and maybe leave it on a few hours or just the day.... Idk at least an hour I'd say.... Like I actually leave mask on my hair for like two days and then wash it out. But I've learned to make it less potent for less shedding or even mess in the moment. And when I wash my hair I boil rosemary,or ambunu, but idk everyone doesn't like ambunu but it and chebe are both from Chad, Africa and are very good for hair growth..chebe is a little itchy so when I make a mask I sprinkle only a little like Salt and pepper In a conditioner . But even without using foreign things like oregano is good for hair growth too but like hair smelling like Italian food can be annoying unless you have an oil that's strong green like tea tree and eucalyptus... But still... Cloves are good for the boiling in the water and ground up in a mask as well. Okay I'll leave you alone now. I love you very much thank you bye bye 🤍🤍🤍🤍✨✨✨🌌🌌🌌🌠💕🩷💗🩷💕

My dads big sister kind of goes through the same thing, and my grandmother lost her hair due to cancer, and I have always had spots that are ultra dry and have thinned on the sides before I locced my hair, and I mean my dad has a very deep widows peak and so does my grandad... And my mom's hair is very coarse also and she usually relaxed it....

Some times we want extensions just to have a style that’s not easily destroyed. My flat ironed hair will revert to natural if it even looks like it’s about to rain. *My hair is like bihh please, try me.* My hair is 2C(front) 3A(back) waist length. I would like to be able to throw on a fit and wig at will like everybody else and be ready in a flash. But wigs are out as braids underneath the wig are obvious so I do sew ins or extensions. Edit: I agree with the messy bun but it’s still very cute
