Hannibal Reviews Carlos Colon Statement on Bruiser Brody Death
The Hannibal TV Lead reporter Devon "Hannibal" Nicholson who is also a former IWA Puerto Rico Intercontinental Champion and 2 time WWC Puerto Rico Tag Team Champion discusses WWC owner Carlos Colon's statement to RFVideo regarding the killing of Bruiser Brody by Colon's booker Jose Gonzalez aka Invader #1 in Colon's WWC dressing room. Justice was not served in the eyes of many due to a bizarre trial and seemingly one sided investigation.

As far as I know ( correct me if I am wrong) the event happened the same day as a Menudo concert and that's why the medical attention was so slow, they had to drive around the concert. I am from Puerto Rico, I do not like the fact of the murder, but it gets on my nerve that people think it was a conspiracy involving every single person in the island.

Tony's account over the years has been, IMHO, probably the most reliable of any of the witnesses at the time (outside, obviously Invader's knowledge). He even has stated he didn't see the stabbing itself transpire, but has basically said it's really a simple matter of adding 2+2 what probably happened in the showers. And he is quite verbal and consistent of what he remembers having transpired afterwards (which has lined up with Dutch Mantell's recollections pretty solidly--and you'll note both of those guys WANTED to testify at the trial). While perspectives can differ (and unfortunately, memories can obviously fade and alter--one of the toughest aspects about witness accounts) but the fact that when Dutch hears aspects of Tony's recollections you always hear Dutch say: "Yeah, that sounds right. Tony wasn't full of shit." at least on the most salient details.

On one end it's terribly sad to hear his family and close friends, on the other end it was disgusting listening to Carlos on there and here, quite a bit of the footage of him here is what's on there. Talk about someone who after things come to light should have his hof status revoked immediately, just my opinion, the way it was handled was, to quote the late great Gorilla Monsoon, a miscarriage of justice. I was 8 when it happened, never saw Brody actually wrestle and read bout it in probably pro wrestling illustrated, but I remember not seeing it as a big deal only cuz I'd never seen him. Jose's daughter drowned 48 hours earlier and he had a grudge against Francis for Francis hospitalising him. Had Francis bought the shares he would have fired Jose. So Carlos winds up Jose to murder Francis. Then ensures that medical assistance does not arrive in time. Then ensures that Tony is threatened .

Brody said "Don't let THEM hurt me anymore". Colon said "All the boys were there". Them is a word meaning more that one. All the boys means a good number of people were in the room. Nobody could stop a murder of a man with a small child? Colon needs to go to jail with the murderer. Put McMahon in jail for putting Colon in the HOF

Invader no. 1, Jose Huertas is exactly one month older than Brody. What a shame. I was such a fan of Brody. I remember when I got the news of his death. I used to mimic Brody while wrestling my friends. BTW, Jose Huertas has killed before. He killed another wrestler, Michael Martel, the brother of Rick Martel. Huertas hit him with the Heart Punch. Martel died of a heart attack afterwards. Most likely Jose Huertas' wrap was loaded.

Dr Gonzalez was a general medicine practicioner that assisted to ALL WWC events back in the day. Most wrestlers that were there that day stated that indeed Dr Gonzalez gave medical attention to Brody. The problem was that it appeared Brody had a punctured lung and the wound was bubbling blood, signal of lung issues. He needed a surgeon. I think thats the "discrepancy" with the doctor story, brother.

Colon seems to be covering his own butt. He didn't see anything and didn't want to assume any responsibility in case he got sued for any money since it was his company. He even denied that Brody asked him to take care of his family so he wouldn't even have to give any support to Brody's wife and Son. Sad all the way around and Colon is such a liar. I would never wrestle for him or Invader. Scum the both of them. Brody made so much money for them and they treated him like a dog. Sad situation all the way around.

how about an interview with Invader?
@johndeska1
@johndeska1 3 жыл бұрын
It will definitely not happen. Invader has a strong character and when people on his social media accounts mention the event, he flat out ignores them. If an interview were to occur and the questions regarding the topic begin to pop up he would either: a) Get confrontational about it or b) Storm off the interview. I've seen some of Invader's interviews and they never bring the topic up. The only time he talked about the Brody murder was back in 88'/89' when the case was still being talked about in the local media.

I know it must have been a chaotic scene, but always have found it strange that nobody asked Brody what happened. From all reports, Brody was conscious and communicating. Atlas also rode in the ambulance to the hospital with him. I don’t think Colon has any self awareness how bad he comes off looking in this interview. Truly takes a sociopath to profit off a person who you at minimum had a hand in covering up his murder.
