Doctors described his brain as essentially “rotting”. I’d say that’s a pretty good answer as to what happened.
@CavinLee
@CavinLee Жыл бұрын
Nope. There’s “85 year old Alzheimer’s patients” that haven’t killed their 7 year old son. It’s absurd to insinuate that a history of concussions explains the murder of one’s own son. Yes, there’s football players who killed their wife and Steve Austin has a history of hitting his wife just like Benoit had, but those football players and Steve Austin both never killed their son. Like, yes. Brain damage is nuanced, but never will I excuse a person killing their 7 year old child. His crime spanned a weekend and brain damage doesn’t explain the murder of one’s own 7 year old child. I know I’ve said that he was 7 a million times, but I think it’s a very important detail. That kid looked up to his father and had his action figure, poster, and even celebrated with him when he won the big gold belt. A “rotting brain” doesn’t answer shit.

just makes me appreciate what the guys do in the ring even more, it's a full time job with little to no time off, people have been crippled because of botches, handicapped, fucking mutilated almost, and even more painful is this case and several wrestlers that took their own lives before him. Concussion protocol is now enforced and you may hate when your favorite wrestler has to retire just remember what happened when Benoit didn't know when to quit.

Benoit didn't strangle on that line. The fact he knew the precise amount of weight to use in order to give himself a a near perfect hangman's fracture (severing the neck at the C2 vertibrae thus killing the brainstem) tells me that he looked up the scientific weight tables that are used when people are executed by hanging. Armed with that knowledge he turned his weight machine into an upright jerker gallows of the sort that was used in a few places here in canada back in the 1920's and 30's as a replacement for the traditional long drop gallows. He was braindead within seconds, it would've taken his body anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes to die though

whats weird is when you see chavo explain he says the text came late from both his wife and chris about garage door being open and dogs out. then you have Chris Benoit's cell phone is missing. The police cannot find his cell phone. then when he called chavo he says I love you and some may think it was because he murdered them and was saying good bye or who knows someone was going to murder him and chris couldn't say anything or they would murder his son or wife and told him to say his goodbyes. then you have what they said was he was hung on weights just like guy in video said how can you do that to yourself say what you want people who get dementia don't go around murdering people look at ali his brain was loose from multi punches to the face he didn't go out and do that. the cops who investigated probably did a poor job nobody will know truth people say he did it some people say its a cover up people say someone murdered them. I still think its weird they couldnt find phones. seems weird oh well it was years ago.

From Wikipedia On Jericho's podcast, Nancy's sister Sandra Toffoloni clarified some details further. She said that over the weekend after the murders, the search history on Benoit's computer showed he had researched "the quickest and easiest way to break a neck". He had then later used a towel around his neck attached to the handle of the machine, which he pulled down using a very heavy weight and let go, breaking his neck instantly. This refutes Meltzer's opinion that Chris suffered during his death. I will agree, it weird if they didn't find his phone.

So Aaron hernandez means nothing to you? People who have dementia lash out regularly, become violent, they don't recognize the person in front of them... there's more than enough logical reasoning that the state of his brain played a part in these deaths. It's easy to make the claim that all people with dementia or brain trauma don't kill people. It's also easy to do a little Google search and find out that some do. I could argue that not everybody of sound mind and body kill people either, but some of them do.

Looking back when I was watching WWE in 2002..whenever chris benoit was on I could sense there was a personality disorder somewhere just looking at the guy. Observing his behavior, the way he talked, his in ring aggression and yeah after thinking about it...I believe he did kill his wife and kid. There was definitely a darker side to benoit that people probably ignored and I know I did cause I was more enjoying WWE at the time and it was very good. Unfortunately with all the deaths stacking up or retiring it's totally different from what I remembered. Beniot was good but quiet...and a ticking time bomb at that. Just go back and look at observe him...you'll see what im talking about.

Listen guys I might have found out what really happened that weekend I was in my bed when I thought about this. Crazy I know. I don't know why either But this is scary because this could very well have happened. Have you guys heard about Chris Benoit taking different ways to get home? He thought someone was following him. I think that Chris was in his sleep, dreaming about someone entering their house and try to kill them all. So Chris ends up choking Nancy to death in his sleep ( While dreaming ) He thought it was the guy in his dream, so when he woke up he realized he had killed Nancy. Which led to he spent the rest of the night thinking to himself whether he should take his son's life or put himself in and have his son grow up knowing his father murdered his mom. Chris decided to kill Daniel because he didn't want Daniel to know what he did, also he didn't want to be in jail. After Daniel's death in the morning he spent a whole day thinking about killing himself. He though he could not live knowing he had killed his own familly. which he ended up killing himself in the weight room. I believe him murdering Nancy was a mistake he was not aware of. he realized it when it was too late to save her.

Him stuttering and saying you know is 80% of the radio show. A person gets used to it after a while.

Where is this Benoit match that I’m missing where’s he’s this great wrestler? Every match I’ve seen with him has 1000 knife edge chops and 17 German suplexs ending in a submission hold that you can easily get out of...just don’t get it honestly

Better set off moves than bret hard to be honest crupper cross face best submission move flying head butt and those supplex were great in my opinion

Yeah. I never cared for him either. Angle made him obsolete. That entire school of pseudo technical wrestling was lame.

Here is why Benoit should be in the hof: He did what you did (if he did) beacause he loved the wwe and gave it all to it. He did not give a fuck about injuries or councusions (hope thats how you spell that). He wanted to entertain us. Thats all, and he paid the biggest prise ever for it. And we sitt here moaning and bitching about it?! I dont know what to call us for that.

ErtyHD It's not that he should be in the hall of fame or deserves to be in but rather he pretty much earned his place to be in regardless of what he did. However, it just can't happen. Not everyone will see it that way and it's for the best. It just wouldn't be right from a business perspective and from someone who were deeply affected by the tragedy. If Benoit knew what he did was wrong, I don't think he'd want to go in the HOF considering he did love the business a lot and he probably wouldn't want to cause more damage to it.

Yes what a wonderful idea. We can ask the D.O.C. to release Charles Manson so Charles can induct him. Give it a rest it's not going too happen no wrestler would induct him and most including his former best friends would not even show up to see it.

Before the murders I never cared for Benoit, even as a pro wrestler. He had less than zero charisma, no mic skills, and not a good look.

I remember the first time I saw Benoit was not long after he came to WWF at a pay per view event and I never liked him then and he never grew on me. You know how sometimes somebody plays a bad guy/heel but you can't help but like them, even actors who play bad guys but you like them anyway. With him is was the complete opposite, I can remember if he played heel or face but I didn't like the guy. Although I liked the crossface-crippler but now I always imagine him doing to his wife and kid :(
