Thanks again, purchased the HD version. As a precaution. Wouldn't you know it. On a charity run at the end of the ride. I use the kill switch and forgot to switch off the bike. You know it I come pack to hear that sound no biker wants to hear. No problem the jump box is in the saddle bag. The tip on the touring bike made it easy. Thanks again keep up the good work.

Just wanted to say thanks for posting this. This is one of those things that you don't think you need until you need it. For me, I was lucky enough to have a friend with jumper cables when I left my headlight on. Realizing how easy it is to do that, I now have the GB40 in my saddlebag. I opted to add both the NOCO adapter. The NOCO adapter in case I need to jump my bike, the clamps in case I need to start someone else's bike or car. The whole thing really doesn't take up too much saddlebag room. Thanks again dude.

I have been using a NOCO for about 3 years. I have used it to jumpstart my truck and other vehicles, as well as my DRZ-400 and 883 Iron. They are very convenient. I keep it in my saddlebags, and the accessory pigtail is installed on the bike as well. I have had no issues at all with it.

Good info thank you. My wife got me the Duracell jump box from Target I think for Christmas, it was about $100 I believe. It doesnt have the leed like what you installed but it has the small alligator clips and I have used it a few times and it works pretty well. It however would be probably a pain to jump your softail but thankfully for my 03 softail it works. Interesting new products and thanks for showing that.

THANK YOU!!! At r the start of the vid you stated that you CAN jump a bike from a car... So many people think this is blow up the electrical system on your bike. I don't know why. A 12v system is a 12v system. I tried to help a guy with a dead soft tail at Laconia Bike week last year and he refused and called a tow truck cuase he thought I would damage his bike jumping from my truck. BUT THERE YOU GO WORLD, FROM A HARLEY TECH!!! YOU CAN JUMP A BIKE (not a old 6v one though) FROM A CAR WITH ZERO ISSUES as long as you don't hook up backwards or dead short something.

I am a tech guy. Anti Gravity lithium battery(cheapest weight loss) has restart technology so you are never left stranded with a dead battery. Plus lithium batteries have longer warranty and last 2-5 times longer. The lithium jump packs are great but they last 5-7 years but you must remember to keep them charged. The newest tech are SUPERCAPACITOR jump starts like AUTOWIT. It is BATTERYLESS tech and uses the weak battery to charger the supercapacitor to jump your bike. Super capacitors last 20 years or longer and do not need charging. They sell for $128.

Probably the most ironic thing is, I just watched this video today, and yesterday I had to try and jumpstart my bike using one of those battery packs. If only I had seen your vid a day earlier. I didn't realize the starter terminal could be used, and of course I removed the seat and battery top to get at the terminals. As it turned out, every time I got the bike to start I would remove the alligator clamps and the bike would die. Pretty sure it's the voltage regulator now as I was able to check the battery with a tester and it's fine. Thanks for this video though, it has been very helpful.

It s funny. You came up with the video just when my sportster let me down in a city. Unable to start. Lucky coincidence was it happened literally right in front of a strangers bikers garage who just came home. So i asked him if he can help me. He had a charger and was kind enough to put me back on road. I gave him bottle of Jack and made a new friend.

I put the Pod-X1 on my 18 SGS and my 18 Breakout 114. Haven't had to use them but I'm ready in case. Getting to batteries in either one is too big of a pain. So much easier to just plug jumper in to pigtail and get it done!

I've been using all NOCO products for several years. I've only had one problem with an early version battery charger. I contacted NOCO and they handled the issue quickly and in excellent customer service fashion, which is unusual these days. They replaced the faulty charger with a newer version. If I remember correctly all I paid was to ship the old charger back initially. I've left out some details of our correspondence which aren't relevant here, I only use NOCO products now. I've found that they have superior quality products, even their battery post washers are better than any others I've used.

Picked up one from Interstate Battery, which have two different sizes, so I went with smaller which would jump small car. Interstate's also has adapters to charge all types of phones, etc and not just for jumping bike. I think their large was in the neighborhood of $120. and smaller was $100 if my memory serves me correctly. Also comes with case to keep everything in.

Thanks for the vid john, was very helpful for me when I installed the lead kit to my 2018 softail street bob, tucked it away under right side cover like u did mate 👍 I ride a lot of outback Australian roads & that extra piece of mind knowing I can jump start is great. I have the NOCO GB40. Have used it tons of times to jump start cars and trucks and once my bike. NOCO does sell the smaller clamps separately for about 30 bucks. They also have a booster pack that they sell as for motorcycles/atvs though it isn't quite as powerful as the GB40. I wonder if the HD version is a rebranded version of that....as the GB40 is pretty much overkill for jumping a motorcycle. I didn't know they had that lead that could be attached to the battery, gonna have to pick one of those up myself for my bike. Great vid!
