Nayyera Haq asked Christian Britschgu, "Talk about what the scientist from Tulane was really trying to explain in that paper." Obviously Britschgu didn't know what Garry was trying to explain. The most important question was whether Garry and his authors were lying. Gary said that he wrote that email arguing for the likelihood of a lab leak on Feb. 2. The paper was published on Mar. 17. "Yes, indeed, some of the authors changed their minds during the course of writing that paper over a period of weeks. That is not fraud, sir; that is the way the scientific method works."
