Brad, the human metronome on drums, is able to knock out a vocal like that at the same time he is drumming.....talk about talent. Excellent job by the whole band. Brads voice is perfect for this. He does it so very well. Jakes guitar sound for the intro, allows you to close your eyes and it takes you back to a time when you first heard this classic, taking you back to a happy place in your youth. Thank you HSCC for another classic from my younger years. 🙏

Kudos to Brad for being able to concentrate on the drums while singing at the same time! Released in Oct 1986, it was Crowded House's biggest hit in the U.S., reaching #2 on Billboard Hot 100 in April 1987. It came out when I was a freshmen in college. Man, my 1st time seeing this group. But that drummer in the back can really really sing. At first i was wondering where is this good voice coming from? I'm so used to seeing Crowded House guitarist Neil Finn singing from the front of the band. Then, foolish me, I finally realized that it is the guy sitting in the back on the drums singing like Frank Sinatra. WOW, he's so good ! Sounds almost as good as the original band. Kudos! love it.

When I think back to where I was in life this brings a tear and not from sadness but from simplicity. My life wasn't complicated or cluttered at the time. Great performance of an evergreen! Both the musicians and the singer sound fantastic, but I really dig the subtle 'sustain' second voice of the girl. This gives soul to the song! Only a real Hammond organ with a rotating Leslie speaker would make it a 💯 Keep up the good work!!
