“Don’t Dream It’s Over” is a message of encouragement to someone who is struggling to hold onto hope. The singer in the song is talking to someone they’re deeply connected with, and he’s promising that their bond will survive any challenge. The lyrics describe hardships that can happen in life, but the song insists that we can defeat obstacles by depending on one another. I woke up this morning with this song in my head!! I love it!!🥰😘💞💗

This song always reminds me of a memory in high school. I was sitting in my car in the parking lot after school one day with my very best friend. She was really into heavy metal - a ROCKER CHICK. She quietly listened to this song as it played on the local radio station. She smiled and started singing along and said she liked it. My best friend passed away the summer after we graduated from high school; she was killed by a drunk driver. Anytime I listen to this, I remember that moment we shared on a sunny afternoon. Then the boybands of the early 2000's, the tunes good but not as good as the other decade's. Bendiciones Becky!🙏🙌😘🙌🙌

I'll post this for Drew. From Tool "10,000 Days" If he happened to be 27, this may mean a lot more. High is the way, but all eyes are upon the ground. You were the light and the way they'll only read about. I only pray, Heaven knows when to lift you out. Ten thousand days in the fire is long enough; You're going home. You're the only one who can hold your head up high, Shake your fists at the gates saying: "I've come home now! Fetch me the spirit, the son, and the father. Tell them their pillar of faith has ascended. It's time now! My time now! Give me my, give me my wings!"

I have an old soul ,,,, I'm 44 yrs old and just love the old rock and old country .....as well as orchestra and symphonies , can't stand blue grass music , don't know why , just can't handle it . Lol .love the oldies , need to be playing more on the radio more than this crappy music today , it's about sex murder , gangs , drug dealing ECT ....it's not music , it's rediculous .

Lots of young people loving this I see. The world is yours, don't believe the lies, love eachother. The system and the TV do not want what is best for you, believe me.

I agree, forget corona for a minute as they seem to shove it down our throats like nothing else is important.. take a step back, breathe, enjoy what's here around us. My nan once said " if you rush you'll rush ahead like that all the time, you'll miss the hidden gems in life" and it couldn't be more true.

В 1986 я закончил школу под эту музыку, вся жизнь была впереди. До сих пор бередит душу. Всем парням и девчонкам из 80-х привет и всего самого хорошего😊

Listen to the crowd singing along in their 2022 Glastonbury performance. Breathtaking and tear-jerking.

I often laugh, so many songs, even current shallow stuff, someone posts that same sentence. In this case it is so true.

This song brings back elementary school memories...the bus driver turned the radio on and this song always came on. The late 80's 😁

Some songs take you back to a specific time in life. I was 26-27 drinking heavily, shooting pool in a bowling alley in Ocala, FL. I didn’t even care for country music at the time but I remember this song and how it instantly resonated with me. Listening to this song 28yrs later takes me back to that moment and everything that was going on at the time. Good days 🙏🏼
