The Hindu's annual literature festival, Lit for Life, introduced an annual lecture on October 15, 2016, at ITC Gardenia, Bengaluru. Historian and writer, Dr Ramachandra Guha, delivered the inaugural lecture. His talk, 'India at 70: A Historian's Report Card' examined the history of Independent India.
