Lets not kid ourselves. One of the random gems of these videos is hearing about how some of the rabbits tried to delay the video by eating something and thats a fun bit of charm that comes from your channel that I enjoy. Thanks for the video! I've only been around for a few months. I have an old school D&D channel with content about the 1970s and do a 10-15 minute show once a week in one take then upload them. I spend less than a hour on it. Nothing fancy. Keep up the good work!

I hadn’t exactly thought about it, but I love ❤️ ❤❤ the whiteboards… it’s also an interesting challenge to try to read them on my iPhone as I follow your discussion. lol I appreciate the historical videos you do, I’ve slowly been working through the year-by-year stuff you made quite a while ago (a discussion about expansion or relocation during the Coyotes to Utah saga pulled me into your channel, then I started paying attention to the historical stuff, then other recent stuff). Been watching a lot more daily content since December began. I feel like I’m discussing hockey with you, and learning at the same time. I watched some games back in the 90s and have read some books, but I’ve mostly been limited in following this sport compared to the NFL, NBA, MlB over the years. I saw the Power PuckBoard for the first time yesterday or today … LOVED it! The wood was so cool and totally fit with the whiteboard retro vibe and your current and retro Jersey vibes. I’ve caught a few TEG videos but I don’t really watch reality stuff only occasionally Survivor or Amazing Race, and other than a brief interest in local wrestling on Saturday nights in the 70s, replaced by watching Saturday Night Live, wrestling has never interested me, so that’s my problem and why I haven’t clicked with your second secret identity. (Actually, before I first saw a TEG video, if you mentioned that channel, I thought it was someone else for about a month before I first caught a video. lol) I also don’t get metal, though I enjoy a wide variety of rock. I’m mainly a sf/fantasy/action/superhero- and sports-nerd, and your channel (and Brodie Brazil) are my main sports talk outlet(s). I think Yvonne is cool and feels like an ideal partner for you, and I enjoy the short glimpses into your personal life (the ex, parenting, the various jobs). I understand about your primary focus being, and needing to be, the NHL; I do appreciate the drips and drabs of other hockey you give us. Now, your mention of your books intrigued me…hope to learn more about those soon. Thanks for a great chat about your channel, Shannon! (Oh, I’d met a guy Shannon years ago… lol) Keep up the good hockey chat, amigo!

Re: the history of the NHL series. There's no reason to revisit any of them unless somehow something important comes out about some year in the past. However, each year the NHL gets a year older, and they're years that you didn't cover. So it might be worth doing a single video each year after the season ends to extend the coverage to that season.
@neilreid90052 күн бұрын
@waverod9275 Have been a fan of the game since the late 60's. I frankly don't care that much about the history- it's been hashed over a million times. Keep it fresh, is my view. I respect and honor history but what really matters is now.

The health of your channel is good for the health of the NHL and the sport. When you do better, the sport does better. So do what works for you. I recently stumbled across your channel while researching KZbin in an effort to start my own channel. Watching this video has helped me immensely as my thoughts aline with many of yours. Love the old school approach. I wasn't sure about the white board, but when you explain why you use it all I could think was, "wow, that would work perfect for me." I also feel a better about my subject of choice - my channel will be MLB-based and I wasn't really liking the numbers that I was seeing on most baseball channels. But I believe if I emulate your approach things will work out fine for me. Thanks again, from my perspective this video was very timely.

I started to follow your channel in 2018 while residing in Lao and have enjoyed it immensely ever since. I realize that the main focus is the NHL but a few things I would like to see are; 1) description/review of various historical international tournaments i.e the 1960 Winter Olympics when the USA won the gold but especially the 1969 World Championships between USSR and Czechoslovakia - it's an amazing story 2) hockey leagues in countries not really known for hockey, such as Thailand, UK & Ireland, China, etc and 3) a bit more 'whimsy'; for example draft an Eastern & Western Conference team from current senior executives such as Yzerman, Shanahan and more vs. Blake, Sakic and more. Looking forward to your 10th anniversary in 2026.

I think it’s part of what makes your content unique. What I would add/My only piece of feedback that I’d love to see you change is during the previews. I’d just like to hear your opinion on who you think might win or who’s on a hot/cold streak. Not a big long thing, just a quick thought on your guess. Personally I love everything you do.
