You shoud have wore the Shark chain again. They're red hot right now. Ovechkin is on pace for 40 goals right now. Last year he had 8 goals in the first 43 games and still scores 30 so if he continues to score at a similar pace from the the 2nd half of last season he could pass Gretzky this season. And lastly the Pens look done. I think Sullivan will be the first coach to get fired this year unless they start a winning streak right now.

@wisewolftonyСағат бұрын
As a Sharks fan I knew it was coming as soon as they traded for Karlsson making almost the same mistake the Sharks made. Not knocking on Karlsson and situation is a bit different as at least the Sharks got a WCF run in them the year of the trade. It was what happened after that was the mistakes trying to retool an aging roster thinking they could still compete when they couldn't. Pens were in same situation when they made the trade. Having a roster which is top heavy in aging stars on their final legs thinking that a trade for Karlsson could give them a 2 or 3 year window to chase one last cup only to now realize the window was already closed before they even made the trade and now they are screwed for the next handful of years.

If Penguins had the best point percetange in their division, you wouldn't hear the end of it. But since they're actually last, I bet you won't hear a peep about it. When anything good happens, it's all "he's the chosen one, he is literally the reason they've won a single game since 2005". When they're last in the division and can't make the playoffs, it's all "well he needs some help". And by "he" I obviously mean Crosby, since according to a lot of (Canadian) hockey pundits, he's the absolute only reason Penguins have won cups and Canada has won gold medals since 2005.

Capitals still haven't gotten elite goaltending this year and their PowerPlay is 0 for their last 21 attempts. They're still winning. Roy has been out injured the past 7 games. Chychrun is now out injured. Washington has a lot of room to improve and could add Cristall, Leonard, Miroshnichenko and Lapierre for the playoffs. @mikeb.29259 сағат бұрын
@KevinWindsor1971 that was my point. He's likely going to be sent to Hershey before he loses waiver exemption and will likely rejoin Washington closer to the Playoffs. Sgarbossa will have to clear waivers to go back down. But tonight's win came without Lapierre and he will be a part of the team when the playoffs start its just a question of what that role will be. He's still a top prospect for the organization and could be a solid contributor in the future. He was a healthy scratch tonight because he had a team worst -5 rating and 0 points in 7 games.

With the Rangers they had the excuse of facing a Cup contender team and at least putting in a token effort but tonight, the entire team just nonchalantly let the Kraken steamroll them (props to Lane Hutson for being the exception yet again). They acted like the season was already over and for a team meant to be in rebuild, that's a downright toxic attitude.
