I've been feeling that way about Eriksson for so long. He's so all-encompassingly okay. He's responsible defensively, offensively neutral, doesn't really hit, doesn't battle much. He's sort of just there not getting in anybody's way. Want him to kill penalties? He'll shrug, go out there and play some store brand hockey. Want him to play in a top-six position? He'll move the puck around a bit and skate here and there and his line will somehow function perfectly fine. Want him to play on the fourth line? Same thing. If you ordered one generic NHL player, they would send you an Eriksson.

Virtanen's play to catch the short-handed breakaway was great and really showed off his speed. Then his immediate attempt to give it back with a low-effort backhand pass in his own zone showed off his lack of on-ice awareness. I _like_ Virtanen, but that's pretty much him in a nutshell.

I'm okay with Ferland being out. I felt like his fight actually killed the early momentum that the Canucks seemed to have in Game 1. I'd rather watch Pettersson hustle and work like he did. The shove on Hartmann wasn't pretty, but it was fun to watch Petey compete. It's a fine line between standing up as a team and being frustrated and falling apart, and the Canucks toed the line in this game. Win or lose, should be a fun series.

Great to see Van tie the series up. Actually Jake got a bit gassed -headed to bench quickly but did hussle. Ericsson fine. Myers helpful & played hard but the penalties hurt. Stench pushed back & player w focus/good & team needs that. Only strong guy is Myers (Maybe Jade). But something is wrong & Im thinking it’s the Coach! So manymissed passes, lack of clarity on what todo - esp on PP. Some coasting & watching.. vs intense check check tight- watch for the open guy not the puck.. better be moving vs standing still which r often prone to do on PP & SH. Glad the rumours on Virtanen didn't seem to be anything more than depth decision more than anything, that game was way too late for me but sounds like he made a point that game to coaching staff

He’s the mushrooms on a pizza. I know some people who don’t like them, so pick them off- but the pizza is not necessarily improved. Leave them on, and the pizza is only slightly better, but it’s not necessarily because of the mushrooms. I get you Shannon. It’s an odd relationship to quantify with food- and that’s coming from someone who likes the mushrooms.

The Wild were playing defense with sticks instead of skates. PK was good, PP had too hard of a time getting into the zone, but looked ok whenever we got offensive zone time. I wasn't really that impressed with the Canucks, we just shot ourselves in the foot whenever we had opportunities. I hope the Wild can find the form from the first game going forward.

Watching Stalock fall down after not being touched on the Miller goal makes me think Stalock is going for this years "Esa Lindell award" (worst dive).

Shoutout to Shannon for putting a curse on JT Miller to not score more than 4 goals for the Canucks in the Playoffs. I will be back when this actually happens

If anything this is good experience for the young Canucks. I am specially impressed with Petersson. He is a hell of a player . As for my Wild , we need Parise and Zuccurello need to step up.
