If anyone has any doubts as to what a pile of human garbage he is search for Scott Stevens-Shane Willis. With a two-goal lead, and, seconds to play Willis goes up the middle, and, Stevens hits him so hard he drew blood. He never played again that season, and, missed the first month of the following season. When asked why he did it, he said he had to defend his team's honor. Mike Greenberg was the ONLY reporter who saw it for the brutal, and, unnecessary, hit that it was. If I were Lou Lamoriello, I'd have docked him a single game check. If he'd gone whining to the NHLPA, I'd have suspended him one game for conduct detrimental to the team. I have NEVER felt so happy to see a team lose as I did after Game Seven. Happy ending.

Great vid! From an interview that I've seen months ago, Eric Lindros didn't want to go to Quebec because of Marcel Aubut... He knew there was something wrong with the guy, and time prove he was right... But honestly, with what they got from him, wow! I agree that Claude Lemieux is a real key in playoffs... He could have win the Conn Smythe in his rookie year with few really important goals: I think two were in overtime to win a serie (game 7 against Hartford and I think another one)... Of course, it went to a certain Patrick Roy... As for Ray Bourque, I also agree: don't forget that his roommate was a hall of famer called Patrick Roy, both French Canadians, and Roy really gave his best to win for Bourque (again, they were down 3 to 2 in the finals and won the last two games...).

Very interesting video. Washington has been a very good trade partner for this franchise. One trade not mentioned was that Dale Hunter was traded back to this franchise to the Avalanche March, 1999 one year off the Caps' final appearance against the Red Wings. The Caps were going nowhere and Hunts was 38, so it was a chance for Dale to get a ring which he never won. Also I would like to see it work out for Burakovsky in Colorado. They're going to be a very interesting team in coming years.

Shannon, i know it would really lengthen the video, but you did not mention how Patrick Roy was traded to Colorado. Being a Detroit Redwing fan, this hits home for me. Roy had that infamous game in Montreal where he was left in net for something like 9 goals against while playing against the "Red Wings", when he then right from the bench told the Canadiens owner he would never play another game for the Habs, which he was then promptly traded to Colorado. how ironic it was then, that the great Rivalry between the Avalanche and the Red Wings was born by the actions of none other Than Claude Lemeiux's hit on Kris Draper...it was Lemeiux and his Devils by the way that beat the Red Wings in '95, so irony all around...i like to think that the Red Wings ultimately won that Rivalry winning more cups in the span than Colorado...but i have to admit I see a little bit "red" as it is. Anyhow that was some of the best Hockey I can ever remember watching...what a time of great great players!
