I'm don't know whether everybody was "nicer" than in past years, but there were no u-turns so much less incentive to back-stab each other. The question is, were u-turns dropped because of the abbreviated team list (and who knows, maybe a smaller location crew) due to COVID, or is it a permanent change? I did find this a much more enjoyable series to watch than the last couple seasons.

I've been a fan of the race for 20 years. When you guys announced you're going to be on the race, I was ridiculously excited. I found you guys in March of 2020 right when the pandemic really exploded in the States. Your videos and your sense of humor really helped me cope. Watching you guys compete was so stressful. Like Kim, I have very bad anxiety and I actually could not watch the show until the week before the final episode for fear of you guys getting knocked out of the race. After 2 years of watching your parodies and your originals and your skits, sharing them with my family and friends, and then watching you guys race made it feel like I was watching a member of my family competing. My husband even said he has never been so invested in the race before; He usually just kind of half watches it if I have it on but he sat down and watched the entire season because you guys were in it. I'm so proud of you and what you accomplished. I've always talked about wanting to go on the race myself, but with every passing year I feel like I'm starting to get too old to do it. And now, you're proof positive that that's not true. Thanks for being awesome. 💜

I just finished watching the finale of the Race and I’m so thrilled to watch you two win! You guys and your hilarious videos kept me sane during the pandemic. So when I saw that you were on one of my favorite shows I got my hubby to watch for the first time. I’m so glad that Penn shared how his ADHD effects his life and was excited to hear you talk about the ADHD superpower of Hyper Focus and show people that ADHD doesn’t just make you forget where you put your phone and car keys every day (even though your wife has given you a special place for these items). I totally get that as my husband has ADHD with all the frustrating traits but also uses his Hyper Focus at his job as an RN at a state prison. As a retired elementary teacher, I had the same conversations with my students’ parents when they first learned their child had ADHD. I would tell them despite all the frustrating things they do, they will always keep the fun times rolling and will have that superpower as well. And Kim, do you think we Type A people are more likely to be the ones who fall in love with people with ADHD? I wonder if anyone has done research on that. Thank you both for helping to educate the public about ADHD and anxiety. You are both such wonderful examples of how awesome people are even with ADHD and with anxieties. Thank you for keeping it real as well as positive. And by the way, you think you were both struggling with your vision in your 40s, just wait till you hit your 60s- you’ll wish you could go back to your 40s again. I am your forever fans!

I started watching Amazing Race this year because you were on it. I got so invested that I actually cried when you won. We had a busy week and had to wait until Sunday night to see the finale. I was Team Kim and Penn the whole way. You two were grace under pressure, always encouraging one another, no crazy stress fights. Just a wonderful Amazing Race that just felt different from all the rest I have watched. To know something about a team ahead of time was a different dynamic, to watch your "after the race commentary" was truly a bonus for TAR watching, to see Lola and Penn Charles react to your win (so as the oldest winners you must have had the oldest kids), just filled out the watching to a wonderful joyful, nerve wracking experience. I want to tell you I wasn’t familiar with you guys until I saw you on the Amazing Race. Normally, husband/wife teams irritate me and I want them gone first. They’re always squabbling, or mean to each other, or just the worst, so obviously I wanted you GONE. Then (literally in the first episode) you won me over. Yeah, yeah, you guys are in married so you love each other, but IMMEDIATELY my family and I could see you actually LIKE each other. Watching your interactions with each other “in private” and with the other teams and when you were apart during challenges, you were so supportive and nice and actually enjoyed yourselves (a thing a lot of teams forget to do). You seem like genuinely great people and I wanted to congratulate you!

Penn and Kim. As a fost/adopt mom of 10 (a few with disabilities) I have used your Amazing Race experience to help me through some really challenging times. Amazing Race has always been (without spending a ton of time I don't have thinking about it) in my top 3 shows, probably #1. You guys and your friends have made this season in my top 3 seasons (same reason) maybe even #1. I love how you embrace your differences and have found the facets that have made you stronger.
