The mobile. Home needs patio covers to stop that greening. How about simple wood and aluminum lean to on that side. And you could till it for a rain barrel there also. Think of the water you waste this way. And you could use for in and out space. Park, toys, work table for spring lunches and bbq.

Buggy and Brett put a smile on my face helping you with the apples. Thank you for sharing your beautiful family moments with us. I agree with you about jelly, it's a waste of time, dish soap, shelf space, jars, lids etc to can things your family doesn't eat. @Ben Looks like your new chicken coops are working great, if I may make a suggestion, if you put some poles in the coops for the chickens to roost on they would be a lot happier and healthier. The look a little stressed all crowded up in there.

You need to add as catch name sniff here too. Love the farm life style ♥️ You cook the way I do 😄. You don’t go into the step by step which is nice for those of us that’s been cooking for YEARS. Home grown and home made- doesn’t get any better than that 👍. Glad you’re all feeling better. TIS the season. Last week in October my Mom always started the can on the back of the stove of Friars Balsam, none of us kids got sick and somehow over the last 5 years, nobody carries it anymore 😯. So all of us older wives now chop an onion and a couple cloves of garlic setting it up in the higher traffic area and we don’t get sick - I’d rather the friars Balsam LOVE that smell but this concoction works just as good

Try using "Mule Team Borax" to keep that Green Algae at bay for longer periods of time. Using it each time you spray, over time, you will notice that the Green Algae attaches less and less. I bought one of those application canisters you will see in the Video below. Mix the Solution: In a bucket, combine equal parts of borax and soapy water. You can use regular dish soap for this purpose. Mix thoroughly to create a borax-cleaning solution. Application: Spray the borax solution onto the algae-infested areas of your vinyl siding. Let it sit for about 10 to 15 minutes, but make sure it doesn’t dry completely. Scrub and Rinse: If you don’t have a power washer, use a scrub brush or cleaning pad to scrub off the algae. After scrubbing, rinse the siding thoroughly with clean water. Repeat if Necessary: Depending on the severity of the algae growth, you may need to repeat the process until you’re satisfied with the results. Remember that safety precautions are essential when handling cleaning solutions. Wear gloves and follow instructions carefully. *** Borax is an effective and eco-friendly option for tackling green algae on your vinyl siding! 🌿🏠 OR -- Use the products in the video below - Use the same application system in both suggestions. Good to know! That Borax is effective and eco-friendly,...they could use that on so many other areas of the farm. They could use it...to clean and tidy up before their company arrives > for cleaning, pest control and so many other household / yard tasks.

Love the content. As an owner of a pressure washing business , I would suggest ‘soft washing,’ the vinyl on your home. Assuming the algae build up is on the north side which is recurring , a soft wash solution in a pump up sprayer of 12.5% sodium hypochlorite, diluted 3 parts to 1 would melt it off within minutes , requiring just a rinse of water. 5 minute job. This is assuming there is no implications of runoff or vegetation around the house that would need to be watered down to prevent plant burning

When me and my 6 brothers and sisters with my parents would visit my Dad's mom and dad on the farm in spiceland Indiana as a kid ! She had the best granny smith apple tree in her side yard ! Every year she canned spiced apple rings with cloves and cinnamon and they were the first thing I asked for to eat every time we would visit ! My grandpa always had a bag of cinnamon hard candies in his dresser drawer and butter scotch that he would pass out to us kids if we were good ! Watch you can those apples really brought back those memories and my mom drying apple to use in the winter for her homemade butter fried individual apple pies she fixed for us after she soaked them in water and cooked them with spices added them to small crust and fold in half and crimped the edges with a fork and fried in butter ! I suppose you could bakem if ya wanted and butter afterwards though ! Seems like yesterday but that was 60 years ago ! Boy how time flies when your just living ya best life ! Really enjoy seeing you guys progress with yours ! Living and learning is mostly what it is ! God bless y'all !

One of our fall favorites is a canned blue plum cake. When I used to make pie filling and apple butter, I would make the plum cake and add the juice to the juice from the cores and peels. It's 12:49 a beautiful color, and way more flavorful than apple jelly. Plum is my favorite jelly/jam anyway and the apple plum jelly is still my son's favorite!

One year I had a whole lot of pumpkins. It just happened when the Mall of America opened I went in a store that was selling small jars for like tourists, and it was pumpkin butter, and I thought oh yes I can make that too. I baked like 15 pumpkins and and cut the outside off of course and cooked the pumpkin down in a huge canner on the stove and used the same recipe as you would use for making apple butter, and it turned out so good. I actually gave a lot of it away to friends and family and they all loved it too. It was much darker than apple butter, but so good. on toast or pancakes too.

Apple makes a good jelly-extender. If you don't have quite enough of something else to make a full batch, just fill it out with apples. They gel well and don't really add any noticeable flavor. Smuckers used to offer a line of apple-blend jellies I liked. Pears can do the same thing.

I use to make apple pie filling using apples that I sliced with one of those spiral slicer/peelers. But I found that the slices were too thin. And after canning it. When I used it to make a pie or whatever. Baking those thin sliced apples again made them mush out like applesauce. This year I'm making it by slicing my apples thicker by hand.

Apple jelly is so neutral it can be used as a flavorful base for other jellies like jalapeno jelly (or other hot pepper), mint jelly for lamb (sort of like cranberry sauce for turkey).... cowboy candy, herbed meat jellies, think rosemary, thyme, or sage. Sage is also good in blackberry jelly and my son's favorite iced tea flavoring..... just in case you decide to make it again in the future.

Pressure washing upwards could send water behind the siding and cause rot or mold. Best to wash downward or at least perpendicular. I don't make jelly because it is mostly jelled flavored water with sugar. I prefer jam instead. However, removing seeds from raspberries to make jam is labor intensive. I pressure cook my roosters. It can turn a five-year-old roo into tender dark meat quickly. Tons of flavor. That way you can drink the wine instead.🙂

I loved that you used the different sized canning jars for the broth. Quick, creative solution.

I have been following your channel for years and ilove it,, I know that yow like cachucha in Spanish it is “ ají dulce” you can used them whole, cut them in small pieces,or grind them,, and afterwards use them when you kook chicken, pork, any kind of meot, soup, souse beans etc in Puerto Rico and all the Caribeean island we make a “sofrito”with garlic onions cilantro regular peppers cachucha ,tomatoes and some salt then you fri them the same way you do the onions and afterwards you save it I the fridge an use it when is needed i believe that maybe you can get a recipe in google as “ají dulce”. I hope this is another very good way to use your favorite pepper, please let me know if this information has been useful for your family’ god bless you and your wonderful family and thanks for the chanel ,

Not sure if you do this or not but a splash of white vinegar in your canning water helps keep the outside of the jar from getting cloudy.

It is also according to how 'hard' your water is. The minerals in the water attach to the glass under heat and/or pressure. Vinegar fixes that attachment. The softer the water the less cloudiness.

Nice job, Brett! Those house looks great. Ben, I understand about trying to get mechanics to work on your vehicle. I've been waiting close to 2 years to get my small pickup truck worked on. Then my big pickup truck has been down for over 5 months bcuz NO ONE has a tire thats the right size. So, I live in my motorhome, had to start driving it. And the day of my youngest grandson's birthday party it broke down 2 miles from where I live. So, now I have no vehilce and its a total p.i.a. to try to find rides to the grocery store, to go get my water jugs filled, and the worst thing is trying to find someone with a truck to haul my garbage & waste to the dump. Besides trying to get my bills paid. Someone hacked my bank card so it was shut down by the bank and the card had to be destroyed. Then there was a mess up, and I had to wait twice as long for a new one. Finally got it after 7 weeks, yay. Its been a horrible year. I'm glad its almost over. Now to get thru this winter that they say will be extra cold & a lot more snow than normal. (SARCASTICALLY) I can't wait!
