I’m guessing a not insignificant number of people watching this video are probably thinking that they would have had a better life with Gregory Peck as their father.

Look at the footage portraying when he was a boy before all that contractors' development swallowed up the shores and open land. It was a small town back then

Jack Lemmon was spot on....Gregory Peck always made you think. It had to do with what was underneath the obvious...and he did it in a way that required no herculean effort on the part of the viewer except to be willing to expand their thoughts or opinions. I'd be willing to bet he raised his children in the same way.

What a blessing it has been to be the smallest part of the much maligned "Studio System." From it came the true "STARS"...the players we will, and can, never forget and Gregory Peck was among them. From the standpoint of source material, actors, directors and production, I'd have those years back again. I am their audience and IMO the films and actors of today cannot hold a candle to that was produced in that Golden Age. I'm not saying that there are none left but what I am saying is that back then, stars poured out of Hollywood. The talent was so huge it seemed it would never end. Back then, you didn't ask WHAT film was playing at your local theater that week-end...you asked WHO was playing. The name of the star told you were going to see something terrific. Genre didn't matter either. Yes, the way the industry was run by the moguls was, in many instances, unfair and hurtful. Studios could make you or break you but what they gave us was priceless and lasting.

There are such men; however, many females - this includes a wide range of ages - prefer "Bad Boys" because they're more exciting. Men like Gregory Peck are out there; but, they tend to be married, devoted to family, hard working, etc. You'd be surprised to learn you've passed them by many times without giving them a 2nd glance let alone much of a 1st glance. My hope is that it will be these men who will rise to the challenge & save our Democratic Republic from the threat of tyranny.

If Gregory Peck & his wife invited Jane Fonda to a gathering/party at their home; then, they knew/saw something about her that they liked/respected, etc. I was not happy about the "Hanoi Jane" portion of Jane's life; but, I recognize her talent, etc. Only we who are without sin should toss the first stone.
@ravenzyblack6 ай бұрын
@@MarthaOprisko- The ONLY reason Jane Fonda is famous is because of her father. She was a Nepo baby, and she really wasn’t that talented. There were far more talented women in Hollywood at that time. Even Bridget Fonda was a better actress. Yes we are all sinners, but last time I checked I never helped a foreign government murder my fellow citizens. That is called TREASON. Hollywood celebrities are the epitome of acting all self-righteous when they are some of the most degenerate human beings on earth.
@robertpolanco197313 күн бұрын
@@MarthaOprisko Personally, I think that certain people who didn't like Jane Fonda for her involvement in opposing an unpopular war in Vietnam by the U.S. has become a heavy negative influence for decades and it is still an unfortunate mental breakdown for people like the Maccabee fellow who still thinks of Ms. Fonda as being the so-called "Hanoi Jane."
