Such helpful information. I have been acting commercially for a long time. I completely understand that side of the industry. Now that my time obligations are changing, I am going to focus on the theatrical side. You really have given me some great suggestions to help me move forward. You are awesome.

It's the same in POST with recommending folks to work on shows. I had a friend who I recommending for a project because I was unavailable. That project did NOT go smoothly. Thus, I can't ever recommend that friend to another project. I never put two and two together that Agents and Casting Directors share that same level of professionalism. But hearing you say it, of course! ...It makes so much sense! Love your vids. I learn so much about the production side of things.

Always so helpful, Ms. Wendy. I'm getting into managing artists in my smedium town and I always put them your way and learn from you myself. There are some actors and parents of young performers that asked me to represent them and work with them but apart from occasional bursts of talent, they bring nothing. So when I tell them they have to be teachable and hungry for learning how to navigate the industry, but they think they are above training or they really cling to this idea that being able to say you have had no formal training makes you a novelty. I'm like, "you have to be SPECTACULAR for people to say 'wow' when you tell them you haven't been trained. And then they will tell you that training will help you even more. .... This is not your testimony." 😄 I don't know what that is. I have to see if you have a video on why people push against the idea of training.

I completely hear you. I think I rally for training and the importance of it through all my videos. People look for the EASY way and this business is tough so they will in for a rude awakening. All you can do is provide the info- they will take it or leave it.

Welcome to my channel from South America! If you are building your career in SA train with coaches online in LA, NY and or London. Work with student film makers and other actors to shoot short films and enter them into film festivals. Get as much experience and training as you can. Go to film festivals to meet industry people and begin to build relationships. Work on adding an Amercian accent to you skill set.
