Rewatching this today and it’s brilliant! Thank you Wendy 🎬🎭 Regarding energy, I love to watch contest reality shows like Top Chef or Project Runway. Both deal with creativity and I like to predict who will go far in the contest based on the energy the contestants put out. So yes the energy we put out is reflected back to us. Thanks Wendy

Interesting video but cars never go above family in fast & furious 😂
This is just perfect! I have my very first lines in a show coming up, and this is so so helpful, especially because i don't consider myself an actor. I'm so fsscinated by the process of performers, i just never considered doing it myself. This is making me feel like i can! Tonight, our director is doing"character work" with each of us (even the ensemble members), and this video is giving me a great foundation so i don't feel totally lost in a few hours 😅

For a self casting tape does it have to be from tv shows and film or it can be from theatre work too?

Question: Where are the Mexican actors? I see Mexican parts, but they are cast to Puerto Ricans, Cubans and Spaniards. Why do White casting directors avoid Mexican ACTORS? (at least Mexicans aren't being played by blue eyed Italians in Spaghetti Westerns, right?) [here is something I posted for you somewhere else] Why Hispanics CRINGE when white casting directors cast Hispanic roles. 1. White actors with brown contacts as Hispanics is not a watchable movie for Hispanics. 2. Curly Haired Puerto Ricans as straight haired Mexicans is TOTAL CRINGE for both Mexicans and Puerto Ricans. You are in LA, there is no excuse for it since LA is full of Mexicans wannabe actors. 3. A Spanish actor as "Cantiflas"???? The charm of Cantiflas is that he is a VERY "Indio" (Native Americas) character at the bottom of the class structure. To cast a Spaniard is to awake the revenge of Montezuma. Do white casting directors not understand that the White Spaniards enslaved the Native Americas peoples?? 4. Mayans and Aztecs are VERY different tribes and are not interchangeable. The casting director for Wakanda Forever.did a very good job of casting (mostly) Mayan actors for Mayan roles. (hint: the profile of a Mayan will fit inside the letter "C" while the Aztec has a more angular profile.) For the most part, Mestizos are the rest (in general) and they are mixed Natives and Spaniards. 5. A Puerto Rican or Mexican that has to be taught their lines phonetically to speak Spanish is going to ruin the movie for Spanish speakers. It sounds like Jackie Chan trying to pass as White when third and fourth generation non-Spanish speaking Hispanics try to speak Spanish. Again, you are in LA. There is no reason to cast a third and fourth generation non-Spanish Hispanic when LA has millions of Spanish speaking wannabe actors. When you cast Whites as German speakers, you cast German actors don't you? Why are you taking shortcuts when casting Spanish speaking Hispanics?? EARN your pay as a casting director. How would Jews receive a German being cast as Bibi Netanyahu? Now you know how Mexicans feel about a Spaniard being cast as a Mexican Native. There is a history there. Stop white racism of casting directors by believing that "they are all just brown Spanish speakers, therefore interchangeable." Facts for casting directors: Mexicans have the blood of Natives and Spaniards. Puerto Ricans and Cubans have the blood of Natives and Spaniards AND Africans. Mayans and Aztecs and Mestizos are very distinct and separate. If the story is generic, then you can use any Hispanic, but if the story is specifically about a tribe or character, you need to know history and anthropology. Hire yourself a couple of Hispanic helpers. Hispanics are about 20% of your audience. Do you WANT that 20% to go to your movie??

The entire planet is full of liars and actors playing a roll to sway you into a different way of thinking. What was okay before is now not okay...makes no sense. We are on the matrix planet and you will never escape. It's like hotel California where you can check out anything you like, but you can never leave. Right now today, you are being reprogrammed to live in the world to come the way the owners of the planet want you to be. You will never be who you are....ever.
