While I'm not an actor I did sign with a modelling agency seven months ago and found this very pertinent. My agency did little to nothing to develop me, meanwhile at my time of signing four other agencies wanted me and two wanted me to consider acting. Very helpful video

Wendy is great. I took her direction in the business. As right as a non-union actor I have back to back auditions all the way to November. Getting about 5 auditions or more a week. So yes Wendy is great.

Great video, thanks! I'm processing your definition of a manager now... I felt that I wasn't at the level that could benefit from having a manager, maybe it's true I'm pretty far from the markets where I could see a direct benefit. But this is so good because you have really cleared up what a manager does, and how the role is evolving.

This is what I have just gone through. My old agent wanted me exclusively but sent me 3 auditions in a period of 6 months. It's sad they later get upset because you want to leave the agency since the exclusive contract is not worth it. I represent myself on casing websites and I receive at least 1 audition per week so something was so wrong with my old agent.

i dropped my agent a few months back, mainly because they submitted me for jobs i just did not want to do (mainly VO and games) and felt like Im forced to self-tape, + whenever I asked a question, I had to wait 4-6 weeks for a reply. Now I'm agentless and at 39 I feel like my time has passed. + Being an Eastern European immigrant in the UK, the chances of getting cast in anything more than one word are thin.
