My sister is in the hospital at St Joseph right now and she has had her daughter and me go to goodwills, especiall Clay's Mill hoping we would see you. She found you first and has been watching you forever. She'll be talking about something and will say, "Kayla found this," or "Kayla said," Then people will ask Kayla who? She's probably watching this video from her hospital room. Today, the 10th is her birthday. Hopefully she'll get to come home to London soon.

Oh, our inspector screwed up on the roof inspection, another roofer caught it. The roof inspector sent me a check to pay for his poor inspection BUT I DID NOT CASH IT. No way was I going to release him that quickly!! Had another person who who specializes in roof inspections inspect our roof, he covered the area the other “inspector” missed so once i was comfortable with the inspection had photos in hand, I cashed the ($400.00) check I had paid the previous joker!!

Prior to closing the house the seller must disclose everything that is wrong and needs repair in the house. If they don't you may refuse to close or demand payment for the costs of repairs. Call your real estate agent. He/she should have made you aware of this. Good luck I'm sure you will get things fixed. Love your channel and loved watching the two of you fall in love. It's so much better than tv, lol.

Although the new homeowner has opportunities to inspect the house for any defects, it is the home seller's responsibility to disclose all known home defects. It doesn't matter if the defect is minor or material. The seller must disclose it to the homebuyer or their real estate agent. I'm sure there are a billion suggestions but legally, the answer is above. Il am not sure how many pay attention as being excited about a new home and all the stress one tends to overlook things. This is something you shouldn't overlook as it my haunt you. It's nothing a good real estate agent and a good attorney can't help with.

Yikes! Up here in Vancouver,BC 🇨🇦 last summer it got to 30+ (Metric) about 90 F and we're just not used to over 30C temperatures. Thank Heavens I have a ceiling fan! (Yeah, most average houses do not have air conditioning). HOWEVER, when I lived in Manitoba 🇨🇦 (which is above North Dakota) I DID get Air Conditioning for their hot summers.

My dad bought a house. It was inspected and a year went by and he discovered there was a problem with the roof and he knew the home owners knew cause they had buckets up there to catch the water. The inspector didn't inspect the roof properly at all or he would of seen the buckets

After you get the pool fixed please teach your kids everything about pool safety. Read everything about having a pool. We bought a house 30 years ago with a 1 year old in ground pool, 5 ft deep splash pool. My kids were 7 and 9 at the time. They lived in their swimsuits every summer for years. We played volleyball and games. It was the best thing we ever did together. Do not let children swim unsupervised. Especially guests. Matt, pools are affordable if you do the maintenance and repair work yourself. Purchase a homeowners policy that covers everything from lot line to lot line, not just your house. Our worst nightmare was when we didn’t have electricity for 5 days during an ice storm due to the electrical grid. Everything froze and broke. Pools have to run during the winter to keep them from freezing.

There is zero recourse on an inspector. I always tell people to get each system inspected by that specialist. Plumbing a plumber, roof by a roofer etc. I have saved myself thousands by doing this. Never trust an inspector they know nothing.

Talk to your realtor as she/he likely referred the inspector. Between the seller and the inspector, they should be held responsible for the cost. Don’t t let it slide, pursue this!

I’m telling you the sport ties that you cool with water are fantastic for in the heat. When they need to be re cooled just put it in cold water. Take a thermos of cold water in your car. Take them off when you go in goodwill. Also a pressure washer would help with cleaning the big things ( and my kids love to use the pressure washer). You can also take large carpets to a manual car wash ! Works well. 😊

It might be difficult but try and find out if the person that inspected your pool knows the home owner you purchased from. Someone inspecting to miss multiple issues especially expensive issues might have been paid to lie.

This is true. They are insured and bonded for a reason. Also if the previous owner or their listing broker knew about the issue and did not disclose it they can also be responsible for the cost of repair. If they were not informed about the issue prior to closing on the home they would not have had the opportunity to ask that it be fixed during the inspection process. There are a lot of options that probably would not even take a court case IMO.

Kayla and Matt. I. So sorry about your home hopefully the seller will pay for the repairs or give you money back to hire the house repaired. They were doing the block to the basement and filled it with heavy heavy dirt. What happen then the concrete wall started pushing in and nothing was done. They put the siding and ran out and took the gutter pounding that too see if they could make siding they could not speak English. This was not there fault the company did nothing. Shame shame. Thanks to see the greatest happy couple and your families .

Yeah, I can’t do the humidity either. We moved to California from Indiana when I was seven because of the humidity and my asthma. I live in Washington state now and we don’t have humid weather on the east side of the Cascades. It’s nice and sunny and warm little rain Little snow it’s just perfect. We’re less than 1000 miles to Vegas where we go twice a year we’ve been down to LA to the Colosseum for the NASCAR race. We’re so close to a lot of things. Montana is close Idaho we go all the time we’re going Thursday. I love the Pacific Northwest.

Not necessarily, it depends on the limitations of the inspection. If they hired an inspection specifically for the area of expertise needed; then they might be able to. Example: we were buying a house that was completely redone inside and they had installed new plumbing into an existing upstairs bath. To be sure that we knew what we were getting into we hired a master plumbing inspector. He found that they hadn't hooked it up properly which could have cost us thousands of dollars. IF that inspector had come back with nothing was wrong; we would have had a leg to stand on in court. When you hire a general home inspector there are limitations to what is reasonable for them to catch in a typical 3 to 4 hours timeframe. Also, what can be caught by sight is important too. Sometimes it can be internal issues that they can't see.
