Just thought ya’ll should know, Kuro’s speed isn’t because of a Devil Fruit. If a human, in the One Piece world, trains for long enough then they can gain superhuman strength, speed and durability

@@MrBeaach that's not really a spoiler, because characters NOT having a DF power isn't going to be addressed later on, it's better people have a proper understanding of things rather than expecting an explanation that will never come. mysteries would be things that would be explained later in the story (like shanks staring down the sea king) but misunderstanding how a character fights and thinking it's a power is not a mystery, it's misinformation. so giving someone proper context is not a spoiler, if anything you're helping them understand the basic fundementals of how the world works so they can better follow along with things as the story progresses.

The board game they were playing is an ancient Japanese game called Go. I believe it's a lot older than chess. It's a territory-capturing game where each player takes turns placing a piece of their own color anywhere on the board, with the goal being to remove the enemy's pieces off the board by surrounding them. It's a simple game that can be very complex. Just thought you may find that interesting.

You did a good job piecing together Kuro's plan, it's less clear here but the reason Kuro didn't just kill Kaya and forge the documents right away is that he didn't want anything to come across as suspicious. If he works as her Butler, taking care of her while she's sick, then people won't question why she'd give him the papers. And then when she tragically dies he can live off the wealth, free. But if he killed her 3 years ago then no one would believe that she signed the documents to him and the Marines would be on his tail.

They really don't explain it in the live action, but the speed thing that Kura does is more a martial art or technique. An imperfect form of it too. He can't really see when he does it and needs to reorient himself when he stops. Otherwise at this point he could easily kill anyone there.

yeah, martial arts is definetely a concept the show should've made clear like the Devil Fruits. Like, Sanji is just strong without a fruit in the same way Zoro is but they thought he had a power of some kind.

In this part of the story there was more exploration in the village of this town, with 3 kids (Usopp's pirates) and another member of the black cat crew: Jango, but they changed a bit here... Btw the reason Merry looks a "sheep": in japanese shitsuji = butler, hitsuji = sheep so "Shitsuji + hitsuji" XD
