My partner and I were watching the news when the piece about Fiona came on. They said she was rescued by Scottish farmers, and I said’ that’s not a Scottish farmer, his name is Graeme Parker and he is a hoof trimmer’. Then of course I had to explain about your KZbin channel! 😁

I first read about Fiona being rescued after being stranded so long. I was ecstatic! Then a couple of days later I saw a photo of the rescue team and couldn’t believe my eyes! There you were, and I thought, “Of course Graeme was involved.” He’s got the biggest heart.

The great trims and the amazing sheep rescue story aside, the running "gag" of the brother-in-laws arguing like siblings about who should have filled the tank on the pickup, is oddly satisfying and wholesome to see. It's an amazing group behind the HoofGP and the hoof trimming company, a group of people that enjoy their work, team and their families. Great people all around and well deserved recognition for the work that they do!

Y’all made the NEW YORK TIMES with Fiona’s rescue! What you did was remarkable, and I’m glad you were able to make a difference in her life!
@pinkpentax Жыл бұрын
Fun fact about most American cars, including Fords.... The gasoline acts as a cooling agent for the fuel pump, so to keep the fuel pump running well, you should always try to keep over a quarter tanks' worth of gas. My dad worked for Ford for quite a few years in the safety lab. Your videos have been a wonderful, peaceful moment of zen for me for the past few months, thank you for all you do to heal these sweet, important creatures
@00juls00 Жыл бұрын
That's really handy to know!
@pinkpentax Жыл бұрын
@@00juls00 it definitely is! No one thinks of fuel as a coolant, but if you have a part that gets hot, and it's surrounded by a fluid, the fluid will transfer the heat away from the source. If you have under a quarter tank, and the fuel pump is partially exposed and unable to transfer heat away evenly, then it puts stress on the part because of the difference in temperature throughout the unit. That increases wear and tear, and leads to a shorter lifespan for the fuel pump, and increases the likelihood of failure. A quarter tank at all times will save you money in the long run, and not just because you won't have to call for aid when you run out of gas!
