What a shame that the basin was sealed off after that storm. Tried for some whiting many times after that storm but never got anything. Mangroves and everything are all dead. At least now it's not sealed off anymore so may give it a go again!

Hmmm, might try up there in my kayak sometime soon............bit of a paddle to get there though. One rod rigged up with worms or nippers and one with lure maybe?

Hi Scotty, I have tried the Maianbar area a few times now with that same Jackson lure & Sugapens with not a single hit. I don’t know why the whiting at Maianbar don’t respond to top water lures? Would you know why?

Can you catch massive Whiting for a feed at the Beach The Hook And The Cook ? I use a light Sinker and a Small Hook And Yabbies when I Fish for Whiting at the beach and I use 12 lb line or light line than that is this the perfect gear and rig for Whiting Fishing The Hook And The Cook ? Do you have any tips The Hook And The Cook for me on helping me catch massive Whiting off the Beach ? And also The Hook And The Cook What lb line would you use for Whiting Fishing off the Beach the Hook And The Cook would 12 lb line be good for Whiting ?
