I been using the scooper frog since you guys first dropped it and I found that with the magnum if you add a 1/8 weight to a snap it floats subsurface and on a pause it floats vertically giving it a smaller profile on the pause and man I have been killing it at my extremely pressured lake. Best frog I have ever used and will literally only use for as long as they keep producing them.

Very informative! I am convinced giving bass something different is the key in our pressured lakes.

Can you post recommended hook sizes for all models of the Scooper on the site, along with the weights prescribed during this excellent clip. I saw the Daddy was at 3.0-4.0 EWG, but didn’t see the others listed. I like the 1-stop shopping convenience of the site, and having hook sizes posted gets you more sales. It also gets “look back” visits to your site from old geezers (who me?) quickly wanting to “remember” what size hook they need for a specific bait. Last note: I love the 1st person sit downs with the actual bait makers that bring to light tips/tricks that might otherwise get overlooked and which strengthen relationships. Kudos.

I also used the scooper with a short leader on some rivers here in the east. There’s a short period of time where tons of frogs are present and the HUGE trout comes out to feast

I love fishing my scooper frog on a jika rig it gets crushed and I agree with what he said I had to find the correct weight to balance out how the legs swim on its way down

I really like getting to see the thoughts of the bait designers. Please keep these coming as they are absolutely the best. 2 questions for you: 1. when are Kosmo jigs coming back in stock? 2. When are the dark cinnamon blue flake daddy's coming back in stock. Thanks and keep up the great work y'all.

I'll definitely check these out. Little something different than what my normal frog has been. My favorite frog for the last 3 years has been zmans poppin frogz. Obviously their elastech so they float. But as a weightless soft plastic texas rig that floats, It comes through/over vegetation & cover extremely well Unless you loose one to a snag you can't retrieve they last forever. I still have same one from last year! Waaaay better hookup ratio than a standard frog & has caught the shit out of them for me! This frog looks like I can do same thing with a little bit different profile & action.

Wow, just wow! I've followed Kotaro for a good while now; don't sleep on his Ultimate Bass vids. Truly wish I was there with you to ask him the trailer he uses on his Chibeeble spinners. Unreal though the interviews you all are pulling with ease it appears. What's next? Issei's Ken Akamatsu and the legendary Haruhiko Murakami? Considering they've been carrying the top 10 with Yamz and Deps here recently in Lure Magazine with the Spatula worm, Gill flat and Shizumimushi(bug) baits...would be a special interview indeed. Anyway, dope vid...thanks for bringing the heat. Lastly, wondered what his drop shot rig is in this vid...rod, lines (braid and leader) and hook.

Got the magnums, what style weight/brand would you recommend? Thinking of using with the glide hanger as seen on a video yall uploaded a while back, but think whomever was on that video said he used a 5g weight.

5/0 or 6/0 ewg style. Glide hanger is a good idea 👍. Play with the weight and see what you like!

I bought some of Hook Ups punch skirts and pegged a bullet weight to give the same effect as the discontinued kosmo jigs. They see to work the same. I am still trying to figure out how to increase hook ups with this frog. It seems near impossible for me to hook a fish unless the hook is exposed.

I know you said you were looking for the correct weighted hook. You already sell a product that is pretty much identical to it made by decoy that I have already purchased from you. Also, I have made some yesterday that replicate the ones in the video I just need to test them.

Real frogs do tend to swim into deeper water(sub surface) when alarmed,under duress, being chased,etc…. This won’t be anything new as far as from behavior for a bass. Many people just assume frogs are on the surface , especially in a Lilly pad/surface weed environment.
@AndrewFishman10 ай бұрын
Yeah. Not sure why this is such a secret. I got some custom baits made, sinking frogs to fish weightless, subsurface.

Secret? Not really. I have used frogs on jigs for years. I even ordered some sinking frogs custom made specifically to fish sub surface. Carp, perch, Australian natives all love this presentation. There are many other ways to fish them also. Try a colorado style frog rig, or as a dropper hook on a jig leader, or try a slow drop shot. All work great with frogs. Lift then drop, side sweeps, whatever retrieve gives alot of stops and starts, pauses are all important.
@KriticullCTRL10 ай бұрын
Well, in terms of fishing community, it’s still a secret when it comes to the masses. Just because you knew about it and a smaller percentage of the population, doesn’t mean it’s no longer a secret.
@AndrewFishman10 ай бұрын
@@KriticullCTRL Think outside the box. Frogs swim underwater, fish swim underwater. The two come together as naturally as frogs and fish. Oh, wait, yeah... Don't wait for videos to expose secrets. For a start, I did not know this was a secret, and never tried to hide it, secondly, using your own experimental techniques will open up whole new worlds of fishing opportunity to you. The true secret of successful fishing is to try your own approach. I do most of my fishing for carp and they spend alot of their time with their heads down. To address this, and the fact big carp like a good frog dinner, I started to throw them on jig heads and running sinkers. Nothing genius about it, just suited the fishing I was doing at the time. When I picked up alot of Murray Cod as by catch, I just added it to the arsenal of rigs and approaches.
