I love this technique on my bfs setups... wading or from shore... I REALLY like the Air Terras on a like a 1.5-2g ball head. The Air Terras is just a very versatile, dope ass bait that has quickly become one of my favs.

You should try looking at the Set the Hook (NetBait) Drifter Minnow. Awesome snack sized with a pin tail and eyes! Body has an awesome shimmy and great on small weight ball head jigs.

Hey guys I need you help to decide on a rod. I am really considering the mark 56 but I just can’t get past the short handle in my head. I have also been thinking about a cookai 7’10” Extra heavy. I throw baits in the 4 oz and below range. How does the cookai compare to the mark 56 and they pretty close or is the mark 56 that much better ? I have read several post that the 56 has an amazing tip section that really loads up on a cast to help launch baits. That’s what I really want I am hoping the cookai has a similar tip section. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

@DavidPare9 Well I originally bought this setup for ultra light tiny hair jigs so I'm using a 3000 sized Shimano Excense spooled with 7lb sunline defier D-braid to a 6lb sniper leader. I mostly use this setup for 3" baits and I've been using a really light Core tackle hover rig. I'm also letting the bait death spiral with a couple shakes. A 5.5 would be way too much for this rod. For mid-strolling I've using a Dobyns champion 682sf hope this helps
