We’re not saying that the Hoonigan 8-Ball has magical powers, but the Hoonigan 8-Ball might have magical powers. Or it might be the fact that racecars are always gonna racecar at one point or another. Either way you slice it though, these are two very, very different takes on what a work vehicle should be. Ken Gushi’s sequential swapped IS300 is the greatest commuter we’ve seen for the job of “professional drift driver”, while Glen Dederick’s take on a blue collar work truck was more than enough to make its way onto a Build Biology episode once upon a time. When he was doing donuts it sounded like it was running on 3 cylinders AKA most C10's seen in the wild. A 383 SBC stroker with EFI is one of the easiest things to tune ever. Pretty much every dyno shop in North America has a base tune and could load it in minutes that would work better then the crap tune he had in it. Shame.
