Can we just acknowledge the growth that we are seeing from Cordy? Her going out of her way to stick with Gunn and making sure that he’s alright is a far cry from her early Buffy days. So selfless. Also, her insistence to find money in the budget to pay Gunn is a 180 from Season 1 where she was fine as long as she was getting paid. And Cody I’m with you on the whole powers thing. Telekinesis would be my first pick too.

One of the biggest strengths of Buffy/Angel is the change and development of all the characters..all the characters get tremendous arcs they experience, and we experience too. I truly feel that Buffy/Angel is some of the absolute best television ever filmed.

Darla of course was the first person to ever speak in S1E1 of BTVS. She has power over Angel, as she is the one who originally turned him, and is using this to manipulate Angel. Great to see Cordelia explaining to Gunn that he is in self destruct mode unless he changes. Charles becoming part of the team is great for the show. Some brilliant witty dialogue around Denzel Washington and The Oscar. S2 has a great arc to it with some fantastic episodes.

Can we please look back at season 3 of Buffy and look at the _immense_ growth of both Cordy and Wesley? Warms the heart! Especially to see Wesley _finally_ coming into his own, being confident and actually having _friends_ that he’s comfortable with. His banter with Angel is precious.

I always thought Cordy was such an interesting factor in episode 4. She's still the funny and sassy lady we all know (witness her retort on clear thinking during a rebar impalement), but she's also got better-than-usual empathy (her picking up on Bethany's "vibe-y" feel) and a great use of her signature directness (the offhanded, casual, but matter of fact "don't sleep with my boss" comment). I love looking at her now and thinking about where she started in _Buffy_ Season 1. The little reminder that Wes and his father have their own issues was nice, too; I'm not sure we've had anything that overt since Season 1, episode 14.

Happy "Angel" Friday evening with Cody & Sergio! 😊 Two really good episodes for tonight. Episode 2x03: After a vision, Cordelia vows to protect Gunn. Angel begins dreaming about Darla. Episode 2x04: Angel works to protect a girl with telekinetic powers before Wolfram & Hart gets ahold of her. And Angel continues to dream about Darla. Already looking forward to the episode reactions for next week. 😊

Angel S2 upping the quality of episodes again. This one very much a homage to Carrie, with Bethany in that role here. Some great revenge at the end when she chokes her father and fires him out through the window. Great revenge also when Bethany sees through Lilah with Angel there to support her.

Adore how they both rush to Cordy when she’s about to have a vision to catch her 💚 Angel posing as a detective! Love his improv 😂 Telekinetic powers? Staying with Lilah? 🤯 “Stop flexing your manly boob muscles” 😂 Lilah getting smacked with that lamp! Damn these Darla/Angel scenes are 🥵 Bethany’s story was so sad 💔 Angel “you wouldn’t like me when I’m happy” 😭 Liked Cordelia setting the ground rules with Bethany about Angel. The kidnapping! Her blowing up the hotel floor 🤯 Damn she yeeted her father out the window! “You gotta learn to lose sweetie” 🙌🏼 Yes Bethany standing up for herself taking back her power. Hopefully we see her again later on. Incredible reactions as always y’all 🖤

2x03 was always an odd episode that seemed more like a weak plot but more based around getting Gunn and Cordelia to a more personal-friendship level. 2x04 A darkly realistic episode that also seems very similat to Stephen King's first novel.

I agree with Sergio that in ep 3 Cordelia shows that she is willing to do more than tell Angel and Wesley who they should save now she risk her life too and help the helpless and then we have Darla that manipulate the truth but to be fair at the end is the truth Angel is never the protected he is always the protector, Darla knows Angelus never forget that she made him what he was and were together for more than 100 years so for her playing with his mind should be easy. Ep 4 is very good as like you guys said the show bring delicate things and make it work in the supernatural realm but give you strenght and let you relate too. I like that at the end Bethany start to control her power and her life. And agree with Cody i will chose telekinesis as my superpower too

It isn't truly a spoiler...Andy Hallet continues to sing beautifully throughout this entire show. His voice is marvelous, and you WILL enjoy it often. He brought energy and hilarity in piles, and a gay sensibility that was open and joyful...which added a vibe to this show that was also present in Buffy: positive representation. Representation was different, fledgling and awkward 20+ years ago...but it was happening and it was well intentioned...and we loved it then because it was an exception to the boring norms we'd been stuck with all our lives. The one trope that was tolerated for years was 'the tragic gay'...someone gay appears...but something horrible happens or their life is awful. This was, for many years, the only representation we got. Fabulous performers like Andy Hallet were a joy to watch. Look forward to every moment he's on screen...and enjoy!

Random question has any else been rewatching the transformers movies, I don't know why am asking I just figure I ask because I been rewatching them and there not as bad as I though, now I want to watch transformers one. Also I was never really into transformers but now I kind of want to get more into the series, just a though I had to get out.
