Speed's was founded by Ezra Johnson ("Speed"), and Gregg was his employee and took over when Ezra retired. So it was the same company and located in the same place. However, Gregg did change the brand of hot dog he used, but everything else was the same. Unfortuantely, both Ezra and Gregg have passed away. Troquet on South in Boston is going to start offering the dogs again this week (recipe from Ezra's widow). Another protege of Ezra's, Larry Joe, set up Larry Joe's New England Firepit in Mendon MA, which might be even better (and has live music!).

He had a wood fired bbq inside that trailer? Mind you probably no grease laden vapors but just the same all that smoke? Even with his windows open? I know tried to grill once just under my garage and it was too much. I had to take it outside.
